All Other Information: Am especially, but not necessarily only, searching for medical records. Was adopted when less than two on Aug. 16, 1962, along with older brother. Parents were told there was an older sibling--they thought a sister-- not adopted out. Update Have talked to all, including the assumed birth father, and the last husband of birth mother. Assumed birth father is Richard Allen Hanks. It sounds like there's a possibility he's not the father of all her 'Hanks' children, but he was the husband, and 'Mr. Hanks' was listed as the father on the final decree of adoption. He denies being my father; but Myrna never changed her story in 40 yrs. that he was, so there's no one else to look for, as she is deceased. My hospital record show no name for the father. I have found quite a bit of medical info from Myrna's side, my original reason to search. Also got a Bonus; 5 more sibs (4 still living), giving me a total of 11, counting adopted family!

All Other Information: I was adopted in Denver, Colorado. I was adopted through a Jewish adoption agency named Jewish Family Connection Through Adoption. Both birth parents were 18 years of age. Birth mother's family owned alarge electrical or lighting supply store in Denver. Birthmother graduated early from HS, and was a member of several Jewish civic youth organizations, one of them being Young Hadassah. She excelled in academics and art, as well as dance and theatre. Less is known about my birth father- he was an athlete, and was light haired and had green or hazel eyes and was over six feet tall. My birth mother was small, with dark hair and eyes, and overweight. I am five feet eight inches tall, with dark brown wavy hair and hazel eyes, and have light olive skin and lots of freckles. I have a distinctively Semitic face with a very pronounced large nose, which all of my three boys have inherited, as well as large deep set eyes. I am assuming that both birth parents are still alive, and place their ages at around 63 years. I have Crohn's disease- a genetic bowel disease that strikes people of Eastern European Jewish descent. Any help would be gratefully accepted, as my adoptive family has not been able to provide much in the way of answers.

All Other Information: More than 20 years ago, my adoptive mother showed me a letter from the Children's Home (Florence Crittenden according to my adoptive Aunt) that outlines some information about my birth family. My adoptive father recently located the letter and sent it to me. My adoptive mother was also adopted, and she found her biological sister when she was in her forties. It was a very emotional reunion, and I hope that if I should find my birth mother and her family that I am as lucky as my adoptive mother was. The letter indicates that my birth mother was 20, had four siblings all younger than her. She worked as a waitress to put herself through beauty school. Rather than try to paraphrase, the letter states: "Dear Mr. and Mrs. Evers Our baby was born a girl on Sunday April 1, 1962, weight 8 lbs 10 oz and appears to be normal and healthy. I have tentative plans to go for her Monday the 9th. Here is her history: Her mother is a young woman aged 20, mostly of German descent, a protestant, Graduated from high school and beauty school. She worked as a waitress to earn her way through beauty school. She has good health, wears glasses for nearsightedness. She is about 5'5" tall, weighs about 130 lbs, ahs dark brown wavy hair, hazel eyes. She is nice looking except that she has rather prominent teeth and a large mouth. Her (the mother's) father is living aged 45. He is a ranch hand for a big rancher. He went to high school. He has very poor hearing due to an accident in childhood. He is 6'1" tall, slender, with brown hair and hazel eyes. Her mother is living aged 42. She had a high school education and has good health. She is 5'5: of average build, with black hair and brown eyes. She is a twin. The couple have four other children: A boy aged 19 who is a student at the university. He is a brilliant boy and won a scholarship. He has good health and wears glasses. He plays in the college band. A boy aged 18 who is a Junior in high school and is a good student and has good health. A girl aged 5 at home. The Paternal grandfather is living, the paternal grandmother died young. The maternal grandfather is living aged 84. The maternal grandmother died aged 70. There is no history of TB, cancer, diabetes, heart disease, allergy, or malformations. The father's "hard of hear" is the only instance of ear trouble. The girl (mother) named the father of the baby, a young man about 23. She knew little about him. He appeared to be American, probably had a high school education. He was in the navy, is a mechanic, his interest is driving cars in the stock car races. He is about 6'3" slender with brown hair. As far as we know his health was OK. He has a father living who probably is a farmer. His mother died about 10 years ago. He has at least two brothers, one is air force and one in the navy. He left before the mother knew of her pregnancy so he was never told about it. I am sorry that we do not have complete family information about him.
