Helen married George Henry Kimball and they lived in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. George was a Lt. Colonel in WWII and received the Bronze Star.

All Other Information: My mother surrendered a baby girl for adoption. The adoption was finalized on 4-21-1951. The judge's name was Gilliam. My mother now suffers from the early stages of Alzheimer's disease so some of the info such as date of birth and the birth father's name is limited. My mother was married briefly to a man named Foulger. This reportedly is not the father of the baby. There are two other possibilities for the father. Raymond Worrell and Harold Unander. It has been told that my mother keep the baby for one month at the home for unwed mother's in Denver (we think it was the Florence Critention Home) before she surrendered it for adoption. My grand mother looked for the baby and tried to adopt it to raise as her own. The judge wrote my grand mother back and said that the baby's adoption was final and that it was already in a fine home. There are stories of her going from Denver to Montana to look for some reason. She may have found something that lead her to go there. When my mother was hospitalized recently for Alzheimer's disease, she kept repeating a story about when she was young how she was in Denver pregnant and adopted out a baby girl. She mistakenly thought that I was that baby. She insisted that I was born in Denver and not in Nerw Haven, CT. When cleaning out her apartment so that she could move in with me when she was discharged, I found two postcards postdated Denver Oct. and Nov. 1950. One asked for her SS card. The other asked for her snow boots and mentioned how she didn't have many friends here, but the girl next to her was nice. I called my eldest cousin who happens to be two years older than my mother. I asked her why was my mother in Denver in 1950. At first she didn't want to tell me. Then I told her I thought I knew why, and that I thought my mother may have had a baby out of wedlock. Then she came out and told me it was true. She told me all about my grand mother searching for the baby. She also told me that a young woman came to her mother's door in 1970 in Washington state thinking that she might be her birth mother. My aunt sent her away without getting her name and forgetting that her sister had given up a baby for adoption. My other cousin had a letter in his possession since his mother's death. She was my mother's only full blooded sister. My grand mother gave it to her upon her death. This is the letter from the judge that told my grandmother the adoption was final. Update the baby was given the name of Anita Foulger at birth. The father of the baby girl was Howard L. Foulger to whom she was married to for only three months.

All Other Information: My birth mother stayed at the Fairhaven Maternity Home prior to my birth. Family & Childrens Services of Colorado handled the birth parents information files. I resided at the Colorado State home until my adoption at 1 month of age. (Update) I discovered that my birth mother used an assumed name. I have all the files and I believe the birth dates for her and my birth father are probably correct for the year they were born. I'm sure she probably used and assumed name for my birth father also. The files show a lot of information which leads me to believe the info in them is correct, just no real names were used. My birth mother would have been 25 and my birth father 30. Fairhaven Maternity Home is where she stayed, so my only hope is finding a surviving family member of Donna Horvath-Yanz who owned the home at the time my birth mother stayed there.

All Other Information: Birth mother has been located by WY CI. Birth mother is deceased at time of find. Half brother and half sister located. Both with different birth fathers. I have had my case assigned to 2 CIs in WY. The first gave me non-ID info about birth father, but was never able to get to Denver to continue search. The second CI communicates with me very little, and does not seem to have done anything yet. I have been searching since ?-?-2002. My daughter has been sick since 12-?-2007, and diagnosis has been difficult. Possible diagnosis of Lupus, but unconclusive. My birth mother died of ovarian cancer, and in doing research I found that some Jewish populations are at high risk. I would really like medical records if nothing else.
