All Other Information: We were given Baby boy Kurtzner to adopt when he was 3 days old by his birthmother, Allison, whom we met at the Napa County Hospital before taking him home with us. Asked for a name by the hospital, we named him Benjamin Israel Ruhl. He was circumcised at the hospital. A few days before the 6 mos. deadline by CA law given to change her mind, Allison chose to do so. Lacking any legal recourse, we had to return him to Allison. (She admitted later to a mutual friend of ours that she should never have taken him from us, apparently after seeing the harm done to all concerned). Allison changed his name to David, which may be the birthfather's name - not sure. About 1-1/2 yrs. later, Allison gave David to his babysitter, Louise Caldarone (and her husband (Michael? not sure) to take care of because Allison was getting married to a Navy serviceman and thereafter left to go overseas with him on a 3 yr. tour of duty to Germany. In her absence, Louise claimed Allison had given David to them to adopt. Just after David's 3rd birthday Louise moved away due to financial difficulties. She left no forwarding address. we lost track of her as a result. She had mentioned possibly moving to Mexico, but others say she would never make it there and that she may have had a life-threatening physical ailment in the years following. David is now 25 years old. We have all his baby pictures up to 6 mos. of age, and some up to age 3 from when we were allowed to visit him. We love him terribly much and would love to give him his baby pictures and share with him our love for him. Residence addresses may change so I am giving Ron's business address which has not changed since the day David/Benjamin was born.
