All Other Information: I am trying to find out some info for genealogy purposes where my grandmother's orphanage was in Arkansas when she was adopted but returned cause the man's wife passed away and he couldn't take care of her her fathers name was William Suell and he was killed in ?-?-1914 on a train going to California and his wife Lillie Belle Harris was on her way there to meet and Oxen team to go to California and she got as far as Northeast, Ar the Town of Manila Mississippi County and she died from pneumonia and she had several kids with her I think all of them but not for sure cause some of them were married and they could have been still in Ky but anyway there was this couple Frank Crane and his wife that was adopting my grandmother and like I said his wife passed away and he took my grandmother back to the orphanages but in ?-?-1930 this Frank Cranes mother found my grandmother and had her to come back to Manila and she was married by then but I would like to know how I can fine the orphanage and anything else I can fine out about this adoption if it is possible do you think you can help me? if so please email me back so and give me the info I need and if it doesn't cost to much I might be interested in getting the paper work if I can. All Other Information: 2nd child, Ruby Ann Hally born 4-23-1923, foster child of Bessie Sheneman Werner, died 8-10-2012. Gladys was a foster child of the Gowens', never legally adopted. She renounced birth parents when marrying in 1941. (Update) I am the daughter of Mary Elizabeth Holly, ie, Gladys Marie Gowen. Her date of birth is 2-2-1921 she is 5'4" tall, she has green eyes and red hair. I know nothing of the birth parents other than their names, Erastus Hally, age 25 & Elorzia Holly, age, 25...ME Hally, place of birth...Louisville, Jefferson Co., KY. She had a birth sister, Ruby Ann Hally, DOB, 4-23-1923. Ruby also had red hair. She became a nurse / graduated from St.Joseph School of Nursing, Kokomo, IN. in 1944. My mother, Gladys / Mary & her sister Ruby were given up for adoption somewhere in Louisville. The orphanage in which they were placed burned down & they were transferred to an orphanage in Indiana...possibly in Knightstown but could be Indianapolis. I have my mother's(Gladys / Mary) birth certificate which I have attached. Mother was taken as a foster child by Sanford & Lucy Gowen, Lafayette, Tippecanoe Co., IN. She was never adopted but did renounce any claim to birth parents / estate on her impending marriage. She legally became Gladys Marie Gowen by going before Judge Parkinson (deceased) in Lafayette shortly before her marriage in 1941. Ruby was taken as a foster child by Walter Washington Werner & Bessie Sheneman Werner in Tipton, IN. She married Gay Pat Gordon on 12-7-1948. I have ascertained quite a lot of information about Mother & Aunt Ruby. I am specifically looking for information on the birth parents. I have checked census, military, birth, death, family trees, etc. for them in IN & KY & all surrounding areas of Louisville. Mother said she & Aunt Ruby were about 4 & 6 when they were taken as foster children. I don't know their ages when they went from Louisville to IN. Supposedly, the birth mother died in childbirth.

I feel the name Hay Holeman may be incorrect and used as a cover up. My adoptive father's cousin Virgil Norris was their attorney and it was stated I was declared abandoned by the court on 7-13-1951, adopted in ?-?-1953 with a birth date of ?-?-1949. much confusion! I was told by an elderly aunt that my birth mother left me with a woman who use to babysit and never came back for me? Sounds pretty far fetched but maybe someone knows. I believe I was born near Cave City Kentucky and by some coincidence that is where my adoptive mother was from. Somehow I was brought to Indiana and was adopted from the Marion County Department of Welfare. My mother has told me that my biological father's name is Bradley Campbell but he is not the name she listed on my original birth certificate. She married when I was 2 years old to William Whitten and he adopted me. I was told the Bradley Campbell was from Miamiburg, Ohio and worked at a tool and dye shop in Dayton, Oh on Stanley Avenue. His family was originally from Nashville, Tenn. He also had a sister that lived in Miamisburg, Oh.
