All Other Information: The birth father has no idea his birth daughter may be alive. He was not with the birth mother at the time of the birth. He was told the child was still born. We just recently found out the baby girl was put up for adoption and the lie was made up to end the story for everyone involved. I am the baby's sister and I am searching on behalf of my birth father because he is not in good health. A birth family member did stay in touch with the birth mother from time to time over the years and found out that the birth mother passed years ago and due to breast cancer and I feel the baby girl should know her health history as well as her birth family if she so chooses. (Update) I don't know the details about the birth mother. The birth father's (my dad) eyes are blue and his hair was dark brown (now bald). He turned 23 6-?-1970 but I don't know in which month the baby would have been born.

All Other Information: I started looking for my birth son about six years ago and I contacted the Catholic Children's Aid in Toronto. They sent me a Post Adoption Birth Information form to fill out and mail back to them which I did. Within a few weeks I received a letter from them stating they had no record of my birth sons adoption taking place in Ontario, but in New York State. The only information that I was able to obtain from them was, he was in foster care from 4-27-1970 until 12-?-1970. At that time he was place with his adoptive family and the legal adoption took place 11-?-1971 in New York State. I have applied for my birth sons adoption records since the Ontario government opened the files, but I am still waiting to hear from them. Since I have no idea what my birth sons adoptive name or his adoptive parents it is very diffuclt to get infomation. I am hoping that maybe someone out there has information they can provide for me in my search. (Update) I was 17 when my birth son was born and his birth father was 21.

Birth father disappeared when my birth mother told him she was pregnant. Birth mother believes he went back to Burnaby, B.C. Birth mother and birth father met at the age of 15. His father, brother and step-mother had recently moved to Cowansville, Quebec, where birth mother is born. Birth father's father worked at Union Carbide {a plastic factory} with birth mother's father. Birth father and birth mother met through friends. After birth fathers parents divorced birth fathers mother moved to Edmonton Alberta. Birth father was in reform school in Vancouver for four months. In 1969 he was in jail, was sent to reform school and was on parole until the age of 18. The offense was stealing (cars, cars accessories)Birth father contacted birth father a couple of months after my birth and knows I was given up for adoption. Birth father was not involved in the adoption process and has therefor not signed any papers etc. I have copies of all the papers. Adoption Act No. 40l/72 certificate signed by Deputy Clerk of the social welafre court Paul Racine. Judgment of Adoption signed by R.G.M Gammel on the 4-6-1972. Not too sure on the year but she told me she was 15 years old when she gave birth. Birth father was born 11-12-1954. Birth mother is Caucasian and birth father is First Nations Aboriginal. Birth mother left Hearst with her parents to have the baby. Baby was 9 lbs. at birth with black hair. Birth mother received a non-identifying Information form that gave information that at time of adoption, the adoptive parents had another child, a son who was also part Aboriginal (Native American). The adopted parents are Irish and French. Heard a story that the adoptive parents was a lawyer and one was a doctor. They may also have lived in Toronto at time of adoption. (Update) Birth father has dark brown eyes and black hair, 5'5" tall. Birth mothers eye color unknown, she has medium brown hair. Height is average. My sister and I are also mixed race (mother is Caucasian, fair skin with blue eyes and blonde hair) we still have strong traits from our birth father. Dark brown eyes, tan skin and dark brown hair that is a bit wavy sometimes. I am 5'6" tall and my sister is 5'8" tall. I don't the adopted child's birth photo anymore due to a fire. But she looked almost identical to me when I was born, with thick dark brown / black hair.

I was in her custody until the age of 6 months old, We believe she was deported after having issues with immigration. We also believe that she may have been informed that I was deceased. When he was born our Biological birth father was aware of his birth and was listed on his adoption papers, but was not listed on mine. I know that he was adopted to a caucasion couple that had no other children at the time. The adoptive father was a draftsman I think. The adoptive mother was into needlepoint and decoupe. I know that Shane was 6lbs 3oz's at birth and was full term. I have located and had contact with both birth parents and my birth father is helping in my search to find Shane Michael. We have applied with the Alberta Childrens Services to have his Identifying information released to the birth father in hopes that we will be able to learn his name given at the time of his adoption.
