All Other Information: If this baby exists, she was stolen from her birth family and sold through a baby brokerage; and this would be a twin birth. Dr. John A Houck was the delivering doctor, assisted by his nurse Louella Muller. Both were later charged with baby brokering; and were killed together in a car wreck. Only in recent years have things come to light to suggest a twin may have been taken from the family. It is possible the baby was taken to BC Canada; as the doctor and nurse often went there clandestinely.

There was a death involved when I was in WA. It was natural causes. Washington state was going to make me a ward of the state the next day and so I was taken to OR. to live and adopted, that was 11-21-1951. Neither one of my birth parents signed my adoption papers, the court advertized in the paper for them in OR. but I was from WA. I think my b.mom wanted me when I was in 4th or 5th grade and the school was alerted that I was to go with no one. I would like to know about them and the other family I haven't seen. I was adopted into a large wonderful family!

All Other Information: I believe I was adopted possibly twice. the second time I have record of it was in ?-?-1967 or ?-?-1968 by Ed & Mary Anderson (Married 2-11-1955) My birth was told me as 11-6-1950 in Harbor View Hospital, Seattle, Washington. The copy of a Birth Cerificate that I was given dated this date, states that Harold M. Brevik, father & Mary L. Stading Brevik, Mother. The odd thing is my Grandmother says my Mother was released from the Hospital after giving birth & told her baby was either dead or dying and the Hospital would take care of the rest. Harold Brevik had Hodgkins Disease and was dying and she was told to go & be with Him. He died 11-?-1952. My Grandmother says she recieved a call about a month or so later stating to come and get the baby. She thought that meant for burial, but they picked up a Baby (me) who was very allergic to wool & Sulfa Drugs. My blood type does not match my parents, I am O-. Mary LaVerne Stading, Brevik, Anderson Died 2-19-1993 She was the Only Mother I knew. I was mostly raised by my Grandfather & Grandmother Stading the first few years. My Mother was always refering to how wonderful Adoptive Mothers were and should be held in higher regard than Birth Mothers, so I am mostly searching for answers. All Other Information: I'm trying to find my mothers biological family her adoptive name was Marylynn Cartwright, her amended birth certificate states that it was just Mary. Her current name is Marylynn Ayers (She's been married for over 10 years) she was married to my father for 19 years and she was a Wayne then and prior to that she was a Stoner. She was born in Tacoma, WA on 12-28-1950. She could have been born in 2-?-1951 though, she was a very tiny baby when she was adopted. She was adopted by Andrew and Nellie Cartwright, their mailing address was Mt. Vernon, WA, but the foster home they ran was in Big Lake, WA, it was a big foster home at one point they had 13 children. Nellie was 43 when she adopted my mother which led my mom to believe that she might have been her sister in laws daughter, because at the time (I don't know about now) they didn't usually allow adoptions past the age of 40 let alone infants. She believes that her birth parents are possibly from LaConner or Anacortes, WA and possibly teenagers and one is Native American, because for one my mom looks Native American and there are a lot of Native American tribes in Washington. The adoption was finalized in ?-?-1951 or ?-?-1952 possibly August. The attorney was Stafford and the doctor was Butterfield or Butterworth (the birth certificate is hard to read) it was done through the Superior Court (we believe) in Mt. Vernon, WA. She has 2 adoptive brothers and 2 adoptive sisters. She has brown hair and brown eyes, shes 5'5, she considers herself white because she doesn't know what she really is, but she looks very much Native American. All Other Information: Im helping my father locate, or try to locate his birth parents. the only thing he knows is that he was born in Olympia, his birth mother kept him for a year before taking him to an orphanage in Seattle, where he lived for 2 years. when he left he was able to take a book with him, on the inside of the book was the name Timothy Stevens, when he asked his adopted parents who that was they told him it was his name until he came to live with them. My father has now suffered a stoke, and live with diabetes, and high blood pressure. we are interested to know what else is coming. also, my son, his grandson suffers from unknown cause of seizure disorder, and other neurological disorders. not to mention the pure curiosity of where did we come from. thank you so much form any information.

All Other Information: I received a letter from the Washington State Children's Home Society in Spokane Washington. The letter is (nonidentifying information from 9-12-1997) My Birthmother was 17 yrs old at time of birth. She left HS to go to work. Faith was Methodist. She has 2 sisters and 1 brother. One sister was married at the time of my birth w/ one child. My mothers sister was a waitress, sales clerk and a stenographer. The brother was 14 years old at my birth. The other sister lived w/ an Aunt and Uncle in another state. My Grandmother died in a car accident a few years before I was born. She was divorced at the time of my birth. When my grandmother died, my mother went to live w/ her father and stepmother. She did not get along w/ the stepmother and that's why she quit school and went to work. Shortly after my birth, my grandfather divorced his 3rd wife and no one knew where he was after that. I was born at 5:05 p.m. weighing 6 lbs. 12 oz. 19 Inches long. I do not know which hospital I was born in I was born with one of my feet turned out. My mother would come and give me my daily exercises in the nursery and on 5-8-1951 she went to court to read and sign relinquishment papers. She named me Dona Jean. I stayed with 2 foster families until 1-31-1952 when Ernest and Gay adopted me. The adoption was finalized on 2-6-1953. I lived on Park Road in the Valley until I was 12 years old. My adopted mother passed away on 8-1-1963 from a car accident. I was in the car with her and was not fatally injured. We moved shortly after her death to Great Falls Montana. All Other Information: I received info from state of Oregon that I have at least 8 siblings that were adopted in the Oregon ,Washington area. There are 3 siblings older than myself. Oregon lost track of my birth mother in approx 1958. At that time she was mid 30's. so there could be many more children by now. I would think since there are at least 8 sibling adoptions that were in this area that I would still have at least one or two that would live in the NW. I know my birth name was Anderson from a birth certif my adoptive parents gave me. The WA. courts had blacked out first names, etc, but the last name was visible. I requested non id info from WA.approx 10 years ago. I was told to go to court. Oregon did send me my info which is how I know about the many other adoptions. All the siblings have same birth parents, they lived in the Vancouver suburbs. my father was a logger ?, stay at home mother. I also know that at least 1 or 2 children were kept over the years that Oregon had contact with them. I had all my legal paperwork stolen with a safe and no longer have my birth certificate. I have sent for my non id info from the state of oregon again. I will update this site when I get the info back. Im sure there may be something Im forgetting to add. (Update) Thank's to your search angels I found my birth family within 24 hours of my posting going up. you are all such special people. My parents were Thor A. and Margaret Anderson, both deceased. There were six siblings that were kept and they have given me birth dates they found info for for 4 of the adopted children, plus mine. They searched but found nothing approx 20 years ago so gave up. All Other Information: I was adopted at birth I believe. I am told that I possibly am one of six siblings and that is why I was put up for adoption. I am told often that I resemble a person that strangers have met before. yet I have not done or been in these places yet they swear I have so I must resemble my birth siblings. I would like to know my history as I have none at this point. No medical background, no past genetically. I would really have peace in knowing where I came from. (Update) My eyes are brown and my hair was dark brown and now is silver (not grey) and a little dark brown. As for my birth mother, I have no information other than my birth mother passed her in the hall way and said that she was of slight build and that is all she remembers. Most likely 25-28 years counting six children + 18 years. Absolutely no help there. I believe that I was a preeme as my adoptive parents have always talked about how small I was and how they would pick me up and my diapers always fell off due to my size. The adoption was handled by the state I believe because (Mom) stated that they had to get permission to take me out of state as my dad was transfered to Kansas city for a few years and that the request was granted. The doctor that delivered me was Dr. Bernie Ootkin pronounced simular to (ew-t kin). Many women in Tacoma used this doctor. It was the Doctor that called my parents and asked them if they would take me home as they had been trying and had had miscarages. He also told them that he was unsure if I would make it as I was so small and he wanted me to be with a family. All the old records kept at St. Josephs Hospital were burned up in a fire of their annex many years ago. No help there.

All Other Information: It was my mother who was adopted. I am looking for my biological grandmother, grandfather, or aunt. Around 1996 my mother dealt with a PI who found her birth mother. All Other Information: My adoptive mother told me that my birth mother went into the hospital and used her name. She said birth mother's name was Florence and that she had auburn hair and was around 26 years old. She said she had other children and that her husband was in prison and she could not support another child. I believe there were three older children. There are no records of an adoption in Washington state. According to an official there the birth certificate that I have with the names of Graham and Martha Jobe is the only birth cerfificate. There is no non-identifying ID. I contacted the attending physicians son and asked if he remembered if his dad assisted a couple with an adoption. He replied back that his dad never brought work home. My adoptive mother said she brought me home from the hospital when I was three days old. I was born at 10:59 a.m. and weighed 6 lbs, 3 ounces. I had very little hair until one year old. I had light auburn, curly hair as a child, green-brown eyes. very fair complexion with some freckles. I am 5'4" tall. Both of my adoptive parents are deceased.
