Supposedly she was on her way to Texas to get married when she gave birth to me in Buffalo, OK. My adoptive mother had a sister who worked at the hospital and found out that I was being given up for adoption. She contacted my adoptive parents and arrangements were made for me to be abopted through Baptist Children's. I was born premature and was sent to the children's hospital in Oklahoma City. My birth certificate shows that is where I was born but I was really born in Buffalo. My adoptive mom's sister did meet my birth mother but she has since passed away so therefore we are unable to get any information from her. From what I have learned my birth mother was around 18 or 19 when I was born. I have also been told my birth mother was part Native American. My birth father was supposedly from Alabama and was an oil field worker who traveled. And as far as I know I was my birth mother's first childn. When he was born he was called a blue baby because lack of oxogen to his brain and he was clubed footed had to wear braces to try to straighten up his feet and he was mildly slow. my parents gave him up for adoption because we were to poor to afford all the medical attention he was going to need. I am very open and honest (sometimes to a fault). I am searching for the birth family of my ex husband (my daughters father). His name was James Tobiah "Todd" (he called himself Todd) Price (this was his adopted name), he was born 3-1-1969 in Cincinnati, OH. I was told this information by his adopted father to help in me this search, so I'm not exactly sure how much of it is exact; he is getting older and sometimes forgets things. Todd was born premature and was in foster care until he was 11 months old. His birth mother was in college when the final adoption papers where signed. James and Donna Price had three daughters when they adopted him. They were both from Kentucky and lived in College Hill at the time of the adoption. Jim (the adopted dad) owned Cincinnati School of Art (I believe that was the name of it). Jim has said that Todd's foster family wanted to adopt him but back then it was not allowed. I did go to Hamilton County Court House years ago and they showed me what they called the "non-identifying" information, it really had no information on the paper, everything was blacked out. Basically it said at the time of the adoption he was a healthy baby boy. Because Todd is deceased, we cannot get any records opened. As an adult, Todd was blonde haired, blue eyed, 5' 10" and very very handsome. Unfortunately, he had some emotional problems and committed suicide at the age of 27. He was the father of two children, Amberli (my daughter) and Christopher (from his ex wife). Todd died and was buried on my daughters 6th birthday. Due to the nature of his death, my daughter would like to find her "Dad's real family." She is now 18 and feels that part of her is missing. And she would like to have a health history for her Dad's side as well. We do not have the funds to be able to hire a professional to search for his family and do not have the knowledge to find them ourselves.
