I am so happy. I made contact via regular mail with my brother Gregory Scott Ward and he called me on Friday 5-2-08 and we are going to meet in June he is going to fly to Akron from Texas and come to my only son's wedding! We have talked contiuously on the phone this past weekend and I put him in touch with his biological mom and his other siblings. He is a great great person and I am so blessed and happy to have finally ended my 20 year search to find him. It is one of the most awesome things that has ever happened to me outside of the birth of my child and getting married. It is going to be a wonderful journey as we make our way into the future! To: "Search Angles" As a result of your efforts, I received a call from My sister Earllynn. We had not known that either of us existed until you found her. I have always known that I was adopted but had wonderful adoptive parents and as long as they were alive I had no desired to find birth relatives. In the last few years I have inquired about finding birth relatives. I was mostly told "it can't be done", others have said "if you do you will probably be sorry".Both of these statements have proven to be not true! It had to be a miracle. Too many pieces had to fall in place. Only by accident was my name sent to your organization, and without my knowledge! My birthday is March 26 and this is a wonderful present. I found my birthson after 39 years!! Yesterday (3/19) I found G's Adoption Registry on line, took a look and filled out the form. I then posted a message on the message board. Within 10 minutes of posting my message, which contained all the "Non-Identifying" information I had obtained from the adoption agency in 1996, I received an e-mail from a true angel named Sandy gave me some information she found that was too coincidental. To make a long story short, I contacted the adopted father who confirmed that this was my son. After 39 long years of searching, I found my son in just a couple of hours! Hi Gary – It was only a matter of 1 month from my posting on your webpage #1625 that your wonderful Search Angels with their kindness and support were able to assist me in locating my birth mother. I sent her a letter asking for confirmation and thanking her for her difficult decision to give me up for adoption in 1958. My purpose to contact her was to give her peace of mind for that decision. I hope I have done that. She does not want a reunion at this time, she has never revealed her secret. Although I would think to reveal a secret like this would be a liberating experience, I am not her, and I do not know her circumstance. Therefore, I accept that she is unable at this time to meet me or know me and I am confident that I have accomplished my goal of giving her a gift, she no longer has to wonder on each birthday, what her child must think of her ~ I hope only that she can forgive herself, for I never blamed her, ever. Dear Gary, Your sight is amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!! About a year ago, I contacted the courthouse in Montana, sent my money requested information and was denied. I already had most of the information at that time. I was just trying to get the right spelling of my birth mothers last name. They inadvertently sent me a paper stating Baby Girl Royland information, so I actually got what I wanted but thought I would try and pursue more. That is when they declined my request to open my adoption records. I found your sight on accident, but figured it wouldn't hurt to try. You and your crew did it. Good news and bad. Both birth parents deceased but, 2 siblings ,one brother and one sister along with more than 25 extended family members. To beat it all they are here in Ohio and some just around the corner so to speak. As I write this e-mail tears of both sadness and happiness are with me right now, but the many years of not knowing are now over for me. Its a good feeling to know I have an extended family as my adoptive parents had none. There are no words to say that will express how I appreciated all the search angels help and e-mails. I hardly know where to start or how to say how great I feel right now and I have all of you wonderful people, angels one and all, to thank.
I have been searching in earnest for only a short time but have wondered and dreamed about my birth family all my life.
First I have to say, I had a great upbringing with two adoptive parents who loved me as there only child. I was told by my adoptive parents for 36 years that my mother was 16 years old in 1963 when I was born and could not keep me so I was put up for adoption. One day around the age of 36 or 37 I asked for a little more info. and my adoptive parents told me a very sketchy story which included the name of my mother, a brother and a sister. Then, some 8 years later I placed my profile on the G's Adoption Registry and in less than a month later, SUCCESS!
I was sitting here with my wife this evening and the phone rang. The caller ID read a person we did not know and I almost did not answer. Well I did and the person on the other end said "Hello Mark my name is Kenneth, I have a brother named Johnny who you sent a letter to and I am your brother." Then after spending a few minutes talking with Kenneth my cell phone rang and my other broher Johnny was on the phone. Well to make a long story short we spent the next 3 hrs talking and getting acquainted with each other. Turns out I have 11 brothers and sisters. Yes I said 11. One full brother and 10 half siblings. Not to mention countless nieces and nephews. Remember I grew up as an only child and had no idea of brohers or sisters till about 8 years ago and until you great people led me in the right direction. The lists of names of possible siblings you provided me were the key to finding my birth family. I mailed a short letter to every Johnny Williams and Rita Williams on Monday of this week and now on Thursday evening I have a whole new family full of people to learn about and enjoy. The two brother's I've talked with are open and eager to meet and connect and that's a great thing. Otherwise I believe that many questions I've always had will be answered with time.
You people are absolutely what your name implies, Angels. I could not have done it without you. I can only say thank you, thank you, thank you. Now I'm off to get more acquainted with my newfound family. God bless you and keep you all. You are doing great and powerful work for people who really need the help. And I spoke on the phone with my birth Mother for the first time yesterday, we talked for five minutes. She is sick and unable to talk for long. My heart is full. The past is the past. Hi all you wonderful angels !!!!! Don't know where to begin, there aren't words enough to explain how grateful I am for ALL the hard work, EXTREMELY late nights, e-mails, updates, calls and caring. Jeff and I are so happy to have found Dorothy, his birth mom. She is such a wonderful, caring person and was so emotional and thrilled to have been located. She said she prayed every day that Jeff (Richard) would find her, but didn't want to interfere with his life by trying to find him. We thought by the info she had three children, but they are her step-children and Jeff is her only biological child and his birthfather was killed in an auto accident 4-6 weeks after Jeff was born. No diabetes on her side of the family but don't know about his and she hasn't had contact since his funeral. Her husband is also her best friend so he knew and stood by her side and held her while she talked with us. (Uh-oh, I may cry again!) I am so happy to share Jeff with her now. She said it was by far the hardest thing she has ever done, but she sure has accomplished a great deal during these years for all the rest of us by her work. Jeff is very blessed to have her in his life now, and so am I. Poor Denise, all the silly things I mess up when I am trying to help--I love you! I am still amazed--two birth moms found in less than a few weeks. Actually less than that--Kelly two days and Jeff just maybe three or so but his was really difficult (at least in my mind) not knowing what state, etc. Well, I do go on and on!!!! He has 2 older sisters and one older brother and several cousins. He was adopted out when he was only 2 weeks old. I have never seen my father happier then I did yesterday. Gary, Attached (I think) is the entry for my adopted daughter 9-9-68, Kelly. Without this site the reunion would never have happened. We are so thankful for your help. The search angels and (Denise) was great! Denise worked on finding Kelly's birth mom so hard--I can never thank you enough. I think she started on my son's (Jeff) because of his medical info in the entry and then went to Kelly's. I had more info on Kelly. Within hearing from Denise two days ago, last night 4-19-07 I spoke with Judy M and one of Kelly's new aunts! Kelly will be hearing from her today--she and her "other mom" and extended family are so excited! There is no way I would have EVER been able to do this without this site and Denise. I am so happy she will get to know her birth mom and relatives, it is truly a blessing. Kelly was so excited when night before last I told her I found her birth mom's name. Last night when I called her after speaking to Judy probably for two hours I asked Kelly to guess who I had been talking with and jokingly she said "My birth mom" and I said yes and she screamed soooo loud NO, and I said yes, again NO, I had to swear on my mom's grave it was true! She is overwhelmed and just so happy! We are all just "crazy" now and can't wait to meet in person--it's like you have waited so long and wondered so long and now it happened and it just takes a while for it all to sink in and even be able to ask many questions. Gary, thank you with all our hearts and to Denise too. She is now helping me find my son's birth mom (Jeff Mason-8-15-66) also born at the Willows in KCMO. We live in Raytown, Mo. (KCMO) and Kelly's birth mom worked here for a while and when she mentioned her employer......I know him and graduated from high school the same year as he did. Wonderful things DO happen, Kelly and I are beyond happy.

We have found our cousin who was given for adoption in 1977. She was given a new name by the adoptive parents and her birth certificate listed a different town as the place of birth. The town listed was the town where her adoptive parents lived when she was born. So this made the search a bit more challenging. The Children's Home Society confirmed the match. We made contact with her and our families have met twice now. Things moved really fast due to the help of the Search Angel!

Greetings! Jenn here. We just got back last night from our whirlwind trip to Washington to meet Marc's mom. It was WONDERFUL. There were a lot of tears (mostly hers) but more smiles than anything. I think that this has been exceptionally healing for everyone-she was able to tell her story to the one person it mattered most to and he was able to fill in the gaps of his life. I truly believe that this meeting happened at the very right time and place in both of their lives. Marc's little sister (12) is officially in love with her new big brother and we ended up buying 12 boxes of Girl Scout cookies from her!! =) Marc and his birth mom both said that they want to have a lasting relationship and she is trying to plan a trip to see us over the summer. We did learn some more about the birth father, and Marc does not want to pursue finding him. He is happy to stop with finding his birth mom. I can understand and respect that, as this process was wonderful but exceptionally draining for him emotionally. Without all of you, none of this would have been possible, so again, THANK YOU from the bottom of ALL of our hearts!!

Just got off the phone awhile ago with Kristen Sullivan who has been working with me on the search and we confirmed the woman who we suspected IS MY BIRTHMOTHER!! She admitted to it in her conversation with Kristen. My Birthfather is her current husband, who was not married to her at the time of my birth. Thankfully, they are both alive, have 2 half brothers, and 1 half sister. I haven't called her yet, however plan to in the next few days. Just need a little time to absorb al of this. Well, first I need to thank all of you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Allysen called me last night and we talked for an hour. It is very surreal to me, and I don't know if I'm in a dream. After an hour of talking, I was absolutely amazed at how much she and I view life and treat it the same. It is absolutely bizarre! She told me my birth father's name and I looked on the internet and there is only one coming back anywhere, and he lives in the same county that I was adopted in and has the same age. His name is pretty unusual, so, I'm pretty sure it's him. So now, I have to figure out what to say to him. He owns a business and it's only a few cities away from my parents (the ones that raised me and gave me the world). I was planning on driving down there next weekend, so maybe I'll go pay him a visit. I don't now. I just don't know. My birth mom told me he asked her to marry him but she didn't believe he was in love with her. Anyways, she instead met a man and married him, and they lived over 30 years together very in love, but he died a couple of years ago. Anyways, Allysen, she's so excited and said she's been waiting for my call for so many years. Her husband knew about me, but they never knew what to tell their four sons born after me so they don't know. I told her that I'd leave it to her to handle that, it's not my place. Anyways, things could not have gone any better and we're going to send each other pictures. She didn't have grandchildren yet, but now suddenly she has three. Anyways, I'm rambling and rambling and I just want you all to know that you're doing a beautiful thing, making dreams come true. I know that things could have worked out much worse, and apparently I have been extremely blessed. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I will never know how to say it enough and the only way I can think of showing it is by enjoying every moment of this that I can. MATCHED!!!! Dear Mr. Schaefer, I spent a long time studying and following your advise, followed the "10 steps" and the key was #3, when I sent in my info to the ISRR. Got a call from them on Thursday last week, maybe only about 3 weeks after sending all of my info to various places, courts, registries, you etc..... I was at the office and my secretary gave me a note that said it was from the Registry and it was "personal", but I just figured that they were calling to confirm my info. I was busy and didn't call them back on thurs, and I received a call the next day, Friday, from the Registry. I had no idea that they had a match, as my birthmother had been registered with them for the last 17 years, since 1990!!!! We spoke for the first time yesterday afternoon, and it was great. She doesn't know any details of my birthfather, but she does have his full name, and I did have his birth date, so the search continues... Thank you SOOOO much for your wonderful help and energy. Hi! I am happy to report that I have been found by my birth family, and the information provided by G's Search Angels allowed me to verify we are indeed reunited! I had my birth family information within 5 hours of submitting my information to G's, but I was not ready to confront this issue, so I waited until some things in my life were "straightened out". Interestingly enough, within days of my decision to finally contact my birth family, I was contacted by my half-sister, who had done an independent web search for me. When she came upon G's website, she noticed my birth date and birth location matched information given her by our mother. I am happy to report that I have spoken to, and continue to speak with, my birth mother and half-sister. I am aware of my other half-brother and half-sister related through my birth mother. I also have the name of my birth father, and we are actively seeking him out. One of G's Search Angels is assisting me with this search. Thank you so much to everyone who worked on this search! I can't tell you how wonderful it is to finally look at a picture of someone, and see that we are related. To know that my personality meshes well with my birth family. I posted information on your site last January and within days a couple of your researchers sent me accurate information about my birth mother, unfortunately deceased 40+ years ago. But what came from that is my finding 4 siblings and a whole bunch of other relatives, all living on the west coast and all delighted to have found out about me. I came into their lives just past the age that my mother had died and I bear a strong resemblance to her in many ways. So it has been a very meaningful voyage for me and a happy ending to what previously was a tragic loss for a family. I thanked your volunteers that helped me... but meant to send a note to you as well!! Also, I notice that somehow I never got my information listed on your site to say FOUND!!! My adopted name is Kathryn S. Rose ( I now go by Kay Rose). My birth date was 5-30-1959 in Santa Barbara, CA. Also, your great people helped my brother find his birth family as well... thought unfortunately there had been factors concerning his birth that have caused his birth mother to NOT be interested in remaining in contact or having him get in touch with any other family members. That was really unfortunate, but my brother is more resilient than I and is finding some comfort in my new found brood, who have opened their arms to him as well.
