All Other Information: Birth mother told me I had a twin sister who died at birth but several years ago I was mistaken on 2 different occasions for Laurie (Lori) from DC area. Both were army men from Ft. McPherson in Atlanta on way to or from VietNam in 1969 or so. My Mom said she never lived anywhere near DC but my parents divorced when I was 5 so I never knew. I found my Dad in 2002 but he was dying and refused to tell me anything. In his marine corps. records he was stationed at Quantico in 1946-47 and she lived in Fredricksburg,VA. I was told they married in Sept.1946 and I was born in June 1947 but they were actually married in Sept. 1945. When I asked Mom what happened to my dead twin she said Dad "took care of it" and there was no funeral just a burial but she didn't know where. She became mentally ill later and said she called us Patsy and Penny which doesn't match the earlier story of her being born dead and not being named. I was born 6-13-1947 at GA. Baptist Hospital in Atlanta and my birth cert. was filled out by my Dad and does not show a multiple birth. In 10-?-2007 an acquaintenance from work saw "me" at Bike Week in Daytona, FL and mentioned it at work by saying if I only had a twin she had seen her. I was amazed and told her the story and she promised to look for "me / her" at every trip for Bike Week. Coincidence ? Saw segment of Unsolved Mysteries about DC black market adoption agency operating between 1945-1950 that told some younger moms their babies were born dead only to steal and sell the babies. I wondered since Mom lived in VA and Dad was at Quantico if he took the baby and gave it to them. It was just a strange intuitive feeling I had when I saw the segment.

We had Richmond search for them which they did fined the two other brothers and its been wonderful, we are all close with them and their family's, but they had no luck finding Brian or his parents and we keep praying to locate Brian too. But Brian wasn't going to be told of his adoption, as the other ones where and I feel they might have talked to him, but he didn't know he was adopted ,but you think he should of known as he was white. but you never know I guess, as all five brothers had black hair as their mother was French and Indian and had coal black hair.

All Other Information: I am looking for my Dad's biological family as he was adopted My Dad was born 8-2-1948, he was adopted to a military family in Norfolk Virginia by the Catholic Family & Children's Service in 1950 My Grandparents told my Dad when he was old enough that he was adopted and they tried to track down his biological family but the files were closed. He was told he came from a big family and was the youngest child, his family could not afford to keep him and put him up for adoption. The Catholic Family Service's told my Grandparents when they adopted my Dad that he was Italian. All Other Information: All I have as far as paperwork goes is a Final Order for the adoption of an Infant to be named Melinda Susan Earhart dated 1-17-1956 in the Corporation Court for the City of Staunton, Virgina. I only know that my birth mother was single and lived in the town of Crimora, outside of Waynesboro and that she brought me to the Welfare Department at 6 weeks of age; the adoption must have been planned because my adoptive mother was already there to pick me up. All Other Information: Bmom traveled from Cincinnati, OH summer, ?-?-1956 rented a room in Woodbridge, VA. Upon baby's birth, had doctor/nurse call prince william Co. social Services, saying she could not afford to raise another child as she was separated from her husband most of the marriage due to his alcoholism and she supported their 2 kids, Donna and John ages 9 and 7 doing clerical work. Would not identify the father of the baby. Left before the baby was 7 days old and only signed entrustment agreement, did not sign and return final paperwork nor contact social services. Original birth certificate stated bmom and husband born in OH, both age 32 but cannot find them born in OH. I am adoptee's Personal friend.
