Our Mother never told any of us children about him until she was close to death, and only then was half truths. He could of been adopted in NY, NJ, CT, even MD, DC. All Other Information: So far, I have no indication that a legal adoption took place. Hospital records state that I "left" the hospital on 12-22-1950. My adoptive mother said she brought me home on 12-24-1950. An elderly social worker said that gray market adoptions frequently took place in Baltimore until 1970. Over twenty years ago, I contacted the doctor that took over the practice from the doctor who delivered. His receptionist told me that the doctor of delivery took care of the women who did not keep their babies. I was asked to call back, but when I did, the doctor refused to talk to me. In the background I heard him say he didn't want to talk to me because that baby died. I stopped searching for years. (Update) I have brown curly hair and hazel eyes. My birth certificate says white, but all of the ancestry DNA tests says white (European) with a trace of Native American. My birth father might have been a "blonde" Puerto Rican. My birth mother might have been Barbara Jean Goodwin (maiden name) and 17 at the time of my birth, but I'm not sure about my birth parents. Barbara Jean had brown hair and blue eyes. She had two children from 2 different marriages: Robert E. Davies and Melanie Millhauser Bennet.

It was siggested to me she may be my twin but I don't think so. I thought my dad's affair was with someone by the name of Rose and that the baby was given the name Candice or Candy. But I am not sure that is correct. My dad's birth day was 10-16-1929. He passed away 6 years ago and I was told this info. before he died. I feel they are hiding something in refernce to this person that is overwhelming to me. I just want to know my sister. I loved my Dad very much and I miss him. I just want to meet her if she wants. I heard we are identical in appearance. If she is out there I want to know her. I think about her all the time and hope I get to meet her.
