Dear Gary and Search Angels, As my birth son and I sit here together we wanted to share our story with you to post. The posting was "Male 1992 born in Florida, Brandon Harley Griffin". I spoke to Gary on the phone and informed him that my son had found me, but now we would like to tell you all about the reunion. It did not take very long at all for him to find my post on your site. He simply went to google search and entered the name I gave him at birth along with his birth date and it took him right to my post! His name is now Robbie C. and he is 19 years old. I waited and prayed for the day that we would be reunited and it finally happened! It was on Tuesday morning, 1/17/12 when I received an email from him,I called him IMMEDIATELY! On Friday 1-20-2012 at 12:35 in the afternoon, I hugged my son for the first time in almost 20 years! We were both standing in the Fort Lauderdale airport crying our eyes out, holding each other so tight! He has been by my side since then and I do not plan on letting him out of my sight anytime soon! Hi, I want to thank you all deeply. I found my sister on 10-4. It was the most wonderful experience.
I had been searching for 15 years. Both my parents died without telling us. I posted my details and what little I knew on your website. In August my sister’s daughter (my new niece) did a trawl through several online search engines with what little facts she knew. Bingo! There was a hit! I had left my cell no there and she called me in the UK. The rest is beautiful history. I flew to N Y on 10-4 and she met me at JFK. We spent a few days walking and talking on the beach. I speak with her now by Skype or email nearly every day. Joyous! The internet is a powerful tool but it needs facts to connect. I liken it to throwing crumbs into a lake. The fish will bite. But if there are no crumbs there will be no bites!

I am so happy to say that all of my birth family has been found! I started out looking for two brothers that were in Foster Care and Orphanages with me before we were adopted to different families and after 53 years ended up with those two brothers, one other brother and three sisters. I had been looking for my biological grandmother for two years. I found her with some help from a search angel online. For those searching in PA, I specifically found my father's birthname in a docket appearance log found in our local county courthouse. There is not much information, but most entries have the town listed in which the adoptee was living at the time the petition was filed. My dad grew up in a small town, so there were not many and I used his date of birth as a guide. I then wrote to the judge who currently sits on the Orphans Court sharing with him all the research that I had done up to this point, the name I had found and the reasons why I thought this could be my dad's mother, and he confirmed it!!!
Now, onto the GOOD stuff. We met his mom about a month after making contact with her family. She had been young and unwed and her mom told her that she was giving up the baby for adoption. She had no choice in the matter. She had been especially upset because she never got to see nor hold him. We learned that my dad has 10 more brothers and sisters!!! This experience has been a true blessing for all involved. Even though his family is HUGE, they were so excited to welcome more. And we are not only happy to meet her and get to know her, we are thankful that she is able to begin the process of letting go of the guilt she has carried for almost 60 years. She had never told her kids nor her husband.
She has carried this secret for far too long.

I am so happy to report that my half sister, who was put up for adoption at birth has been found. I posted several years back and only had her birthdate (which I found through Ancestry.com. I was contacted by several G'S Angels and they gave me the adopted parents last name and her adopted mom's maiden name as well as possible natural children of the adopted parents. We were all from California, and when I was in my 30's my parents,brother and our familes all moved to Arkansas..... well last week I was contacted by my half sister's other adopted brother, Mark B and he was able to confirm information of my sister. It was her, he sent me a picture and she looked like my mom. I was in shock!!!! Here is the miracle of this too...... I had always been looking in California for her.... she was 3 hours away from me in ARKANSAS. I have met her, and her children and my mom has talked to her on the phone and are planning a get together. The sad thing is my sister had a stroke at the age of 38 (7 years ago) and it was so sad to see her in the condition she was in, but I am hopeful for new life and beginnings for all of us. Last night Denise (rdbjorholm@frontiernet.net) had located and contacted my biological brother I have been looking for (and who has been looking for me for a long time). He sent me his phone number and I talked with him for about an hour. As it turns out I have him, two other brothers and a sister from my birth mother. My birth mother is still alive and he will be making contact with her to possibly setup a phone call or meeting. A lot of my questions were answered, and I cant wait to talk with my other birth siblings and meet them. Words can not express my gratitude to the G'S Adoption Registry Angels. I have exchanged many emails with a lot of you, and I sincerely thank you for your time and effort and support (there were times you guys were the ones that kept me going when I would hit a dead end and wonder if I would ever find my birth family). One more thing I would like to share. I find it amazing within seconds of the start of the phone call I knew it was my brother, I just "had that feeling" and as the conversation unfolded it became clear. Although I had never know I had birth siblings, talking with him was like talking to a old friend. Unexplainable to say the least, but true and very special none the less. Although my adopted family is great and I love them to death, there are things like searching ancestry.com which I could never do. Now I know I have "roots" and it is a very very special feeling to me personally. You all are AMAZING! Today, I spoke with my Birth Mother, Loretta C for the first time in my life. She took my call and we chatted for about 10 minutes. She verified that she had a baby in August 1969 and she told me how difficult it was for her to give me up. She was so happy to hear that I had done well in my life and that I did not blame her for anything. In fact I thanked her for doing what she did. I gave her my phone number and I told her I would not try to contact her again unless she called me. She said she just needed time to digest all of this but she let me know that I have a brother, 27, and a sister, 30. "For nearly 22 years (I was born in 1970 with sealed records) I have been looking for my birth mom. Over the years my search wasn't all consuming and for the most part I had pretty much given up, when I decided to post with G'S Adoption Registry. I thought I would see if anything came out of it. I posted here and there over the years, but it always resulted in absolutely nothing. After just a few weeks, the amazing search angels believed they found HER. This new revelation was just the start of a new journey. How do I contact her? Do I call or write a letter? Does her family or husband know about me? Yet a million new questions would surface. As my choices would have it, I sent a certified letter with restricted delivery (so only she could pick it up). Within a very short time after she received the letter (hours) I received a phone call. You can only imagine...but there were nerves involved and quite a few tears. That was on a Tuesday....Friday she and her husband were driving to Ohio to meet me. Saturday, 3-6-2010 is the day I first laid eyes on the lady who gave me life. May I say, she and her husband both are pretty awesome. Many more tears (of joy) and hours later we both had just begun to scratch the surface of who this "new" but incredibly familiar person was sitting next to us. Our lunch turned into dinner at our home with some friends and some of my husbands family, and brunch again the next morning prior to their drive home. At 39, almost 40, I am happy to say that we have added more family to our already existing families. We have plans to drive to their home in a couple of weeks. I LOVE YOU GUYS!!!! Chalk up another happy ending for G'S Search Angels! So I sent my birth mother an email explaining how I contacted NJ Youth and Family Services and they recommended G'S Adoption Registry, and how you all came up with her name and her son, Richard. As recommended, I also mentioned how some birth mothers get dates confused because it's such a traumatic experience. I also enclosed a photocopy of the non-id info I received from the courts. I got an email back from her. We confirmed a few more details my Mom had told me that only the birth mother would know. She has given me SUCH a warm reception and wrote that even my half-brother has always wondered about me!! I'm guessing the mix-up on the birth dates has kept us missing each other ALL these years. We're friends on Facebook now and we're looking forward to building a friendship. I was so prepared for rejection, that she wasn't the right person and I'd be back to square one, but it turned out better than I could have ever imagined!!! I found out that my birth mother is a breast cancer survivor, so what you have done for me and my daughter is beyond words. You may have just potentially saved a couple of lives!!! To Gary and his "Search Angeles:" This has been the most amazing journey both myself & my girlfriend, Melinda have experienced. With all the information that was given by the "search angels," led us to more & more information throughout our own search. One thing led to another, found the birth mother, but was unable to make contact; found the 2nd sibling and finally made contact with him. The 2nd sibling just made contact with the 1st sibling that was given up for adoption and have kept in contact for the last 10 years. Found out that the birth mother was given information that I had died 6 months after birth, therefore no one even tried to see if I were out there. If it weren't for the help of the "search angels," I feel doubtful that we would gotten as far as we did and that my birth family would of ever have known I was still living. I posted on gsadoptionregistry a while back. I was searching for my birth Mother (I knew her name) or other family. I have found out that she passed away in 1984, however, her brothers were able to verify that she had a baby in 1962. I have been in contact with my birth siblings and it has been great. I wish I could have met my birth Mother, as stories about her reveal a wonderful person that had some struggles, but had many strengths and characteristics worthy of emulating. To anyone still searching for a lost connection with a loved one, a birth parent or siblings, don't give up! You never know when you might get an email from someone that read about your search on an internet sight that is sending you an email with the subject "Could this be her?" That is what happened to me when a Facebook friend I had never met read about my search on my wall. I couldn't stop looking at pictures of her that were sent to me. I look a lot like her! I found my birth daughter (Born 08/21/85). I registered on March 14, 09. I needed help with finding my daughter who I placed for adoption 23 years. Ago. I was checked that within hours, I had a name, a picture, and address. With that, I searched the name and found out a lot of information and was able to get an email address for my daughter. Thank You Gary. My birth daughter Robin Anne found me through your service. I will never forget March 19th 2009 when I read on my email subject 'I believe I am Robin Anne'. I never knew I could cry such big tears. She is a only child that had a wonderful life. Her parents had no siblings either, so she had no uncle, aunts or cousins. She now will know 151 in our family of my mothers and her brothers and their children throughout Kentucky, Georgia, South Carolina, Texas and Florida. 5-12-09 - I started my search only a few weeks ago with G'S Adoption Registry. The Search Angels immediately starting searching, within days my email was flooded with information. (I am searching for 3 siblings.) I was so excited. They mostly found information on Justin Morgan. Whose was the only one I met so I was partial to finding him first. The Search Angels found him. We had a lot of disconnected numbers and change of addresses but we kept on going. I am so happy - the grin on my face won't go away. I can't sit, I can't stand. I just want to scream on the top of my lungs "I have a brother!" Its been 32 years since I have seen him. We haven't talked yet - we are supposed to later on tonight. I have talked to his girlfriend a few times today (just found him TODAY) - they just had a son. I have another nephew!! I barely have a family and now I finally can say " YES, I do belong". At age 68, I'd given up ever learning anything about my birth mother. However, while doing research on other matters, I chanced across G's Adoption Registry and, on a whim, filled out the search form. Best whim I ever had. This is to Gary and all the Search Angels I started the search for my Uncle at or around March 25, 2009. I didnt know where to go or even how to look for him from the begining. I was at an adoptin site, and saw a posting for Gs site on there. I thought was the heck cant do any harm to have some help looking for my Uncle. I filled out the necessary things. In less than two weeks I would say, I had a list of names and phone numbers in my email from about six different Angels. I talked to my dad and asked him what I should do. He told me to start calling the numbers I had and asking questions. Well I did just that and the third person I called was my Uncle. She received a lot of non-identifying information but no names or leads that were helpfulin her search. She came to work one day after three years of searching and said she was storing her packet of information away andgiving up. Last week before going to bed, I received an E-mail that said, "Paula, I just found your name and information and K Skaggs E-mail address on G's Adoption Registry. I think you are my sister. All your facts fit my Mother and Grandparents. Donna" There was one fact that I left off the site and that was that Paula's Mother had one foot that was 2 sizes smaller than the other one because of Polio. So I E-mailed Donna back asking if her Mother had any deformaties to her hands or feet. Donna immediately wrote back that her Mother had one foot that was 2 sizes smaller than the other one from Polio. I called Paula at home and told her I's found her sister. Dear Everyone, I've been busy crying my eyes out this evening. Gregory has been found! It is a blessing that runs through my entire being. I am so grateful. My heart is filled with joy along with some sadness that my mother has passed. She cried at least a million tears over losing these children. But now, after speaking with the older sister he grew up with and having her confirm all of the information regarding Gregory, I know he has had a good life, loving parents, and that he grew up to become a sweet man. With the help from Amy and from those of you that cared to reach out, it took Amy less then 36 hours to find my brother...a boy/man that I've looked for since I first heard he existed--almost 45 years ago now. Saying thank you to Gary and the wonderfully dedicated, talented, driven, and helpful Search Angels that took up my cause to find my birth family just seems completely inadequate. It is marvelous to be able to say that my birth mother and half siblings have now been FOUND, and it is because several different search angels spending their time and energy to help track down leads. The roller coaster of emotions this search has brought about has been one heck of a ride, and an extremely wonderful angel named Pam helped me through some pretty difficult emotions when this all started. She helped me cope with anger, fear, elation, disappointment, and finally acceptance in the beginning of my search. Her willingness to take the time to help me when I was hurting and be the voice or reason went far and beyond what the search angels dedicate themselves to doing. There are not words to express how profoundly grateful I am to Pam, Denise, Heather, James, Cecilia, Gary, and each and every person that has helped me locate my birth family. One of these days, I may have enough information to search for my birth father's side of the family, but for now........ I have a sister, a brother, and an uncle I am going to enjoy getting to know. I made contact via regular mail with my brother Gregory Scott Ward and he called me on Friday 5-2-08 and we are going to meet in June he is going to fly to Akron from Texas and come to my only son's wedding! To: "Search Angles" As a result of your efforts, I received a call from My sister Earllynn. We had not known that either of us existed until you found her. I have always known that I was adopted but had wonderful adoptive parents and as long as they were alive I had no desired to find birth relatives. In the last few years I have inquired about finding birth relatives. I was mostly told "it can't be done", others have said "if you do you will probably be sorry".Both of these statements have proven to be not true! It had to be a miracle. Too many pieces had to fall in place. Only by accident was my name sent to your organization, and without my knowledge! My birthday is March 26 and this is a wonderful present. I found my birthson after 39 years!! Yesterday (3/19) I found G's Adoption Registry on line, took a look and filled out the form. I then posted a message on the message board. Within 10 minutes of posting my message, which contained all the "Non-Identifying" information I had obtained from the adoption agency in 1996, I received an e-mail from a true angel named Sandy gave me some information she found that was too coincidental. To make a long story short, I contacted the adopted father who confirmed that this was my son. After 39 long years of searching, I found my son in just a couple of hours! Hi Gary – It was only a matter of 1 month from my posting on your webpage #1625 that your wonderful Search Angels with their kindness and support were able to assist me in locating my birth mother. I sent her a letter asking for confirmation and thanking her for her difficult decision to give me up for adoption in 1958. My purpose to contact her was to give her peace of mind for that decision. I hope I have done that. She does not want a reunion at this time, she has never revealed her secret. Although I would think to reveal a secret like this would be a liberating experience, I am not her, and I do not know her circumstance. Therefore, I accept that she is unable at this time to meet me or know me and I am confident that I have accomplished my goal of giving her a gift, she no longer has to wonder on each birthday, what her child must think of her ~ I hope only that she can forgive herself, for I never blamed her, ever. Dear Gary's Registry and "Angels" About a year ago I sought your help to find the Birth Mother of a friend of mine. Adoptee: Birth Mother you found the Birth Mother living in Sweet Home, Oregon. The adoptee lives in So. California. For the last year they have exchanged letters, emails and phone calls. This past weekend we drove the 13-14 hours to Sweet Home, OR for a reunion. It was wonderful. Beth not only met her Birth Mother, but also a sister and a nephew. As they all like camping, they camped at one of the wonderful campgrounds in Oregon. The reunion was a complete success. They felt as though they had never been apart and had been together all of their lives. It was Beth's 38th birthday this weekend and will be one that she will cherish forever. As an adoptee who found many years ago and did have the chance to meet my Birth Mother in 1985, I do know that in many reunions there is no connection. In this case there was a definite connection and things could not be better. So, thank you all for your help. You are wonderful. I so believe in your site that I have recommended it several times to people I have seen who have posted messages on ancestry.com that they are searching. Dear Gary, Your sight is amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!! About a year ago, I contacted the courthouse in Montana, sent my money requested information and was denied. I already had most of the information at that time. I was just trying to get the right spelling of my birth mothers last name. They inadvertently sent me a paper stating Baby Girl Royland information, so I actually got what I wanted but thought I would try and pursue more. That is when they declined my request to open my adoption records. I found your sight on accident, but figured it wouldn't hurt to try. You and your crew did it. Good news and bad. Both birth parents deceased but, 2 siblings ,one brother and one sister along with more than 25 extended family members. To beat it all they are here in Ohio and some just around the corner so to speak. As I write this e-mail tears of both sadness and happiness are with me right now, but the many years of not knowing are now over for me. Its a good feeling to know I have an extended family as my adoptive parents had none. There are no words to say that will express how I appreciated all the search angels help and e-mails. I hardly know where to start or how to say how great I feel right now and I have all of you wonderful people, angels one and all, to thank.
I have been searching in earnest for only a short time but have wondered and dreamed about my birth family all my life.
First I have to say, I had a great upbringing with two adoptive parents who loved me as there only child. I was told by my adoptive parents for 36 years that my mother was 16 years old in 1963 when I was born and could not keep me so I was put up for adoption. One day around the age of 36 or 37 I asked for a little more info. and my adoptive parents told me a very sketchy story which included the name of my mother, a brother and a sister. Then, some 8 years later I placed my profile on the G's Adoption Registry and in less than a month later, SUCCESS!
I was sitting here with my wife this evening and the phone rang. The caller ID read a person we did not know and I almost did not answer. Well I did and the person on the other end said "Hello Mark my name is Kenneth, I have a brother named Johnny who you sent a letter to and I am your brother." Then after spending a few minutes talking with Kenneth my cell phone rang and my other broher Johnny was on the phone. Well to make a long story short we spent the next 3 hrs talking and getting acquainted with each other. Turns out I have 11 brothers and sisters. Yes I said 11. One full brother and 10 half siblings. Not to mention countless nieces and nephews. Remember I grew up as an only child and had no idea of brohers or sisters till about 8 years ago and until you great people led me in the right direction. The lists of names of possible siblings you provided me were the key to finding my birth family. I mailed a short letter to every Johnny Williams and Rita Williams on Monday of this week and now on Thursday evening I have a whole new family full of people to learn about and enjoy. The two brother's I've talked with are open and eager to meet and connect and that's a great thing. Otherwise I believe that many questions I've always had will be answered with time. You people are absolutely what your name implies, Angels. I could not have done it without you. I can only say thank you, thank you, thank you. Now I'm off to get more acquainted with my newfound family. God bless you and keep you all. You are doing great and powerful work for people who really need the help. Hi all you wonderful angels !!!!! Don't know where to begin, there aren't words enough to explain how grateful I am for ALL the hard work, EXTREMELY late nights, e-mails, updates, calls and caring. Jeff and I are so happy to have found Dorothy, his birth mom. She is such a wonderful, caring person and was so emotional and thrilled to have been located. She said she prayed every day that Jeff (Richard) would find her, but didn't want to interfere with his life by trying to find him. We thought by the info she had three children, but they are her step-children and Jeff is her only biological child and his birthfather was killed in an auto accident 4-6 weeks after Jeff was born. No diabetes on her side of the family but don't know about his and she hasn't had contact since his funeral. Her husband is also her best friend so he knew and stood by her side and held her while she talked with us. (Uh-oh, I may cry again!) I am so happy to share Jeff with her now. She said it was by far the hardest thing she has ever done, but she sure has accomplished a great deal during these years for all the rest of us by her work. Jeff is very blessed to have her in his life now, and so am I. Poor Denise, all the silly things I mess up when I am trying to help--I love you! I am still amazed--two birth moms found in less than a few weeks. Actually less than that--Kelly two days and Jeff just maybe three or so but his was really difficult (at least in my mind) not knowing what state, etc. Well, I do go on and on!!!! I never imagined when I registered on this site that in 2 short days, I would have my mother found for me. We were able to meet Mother's Day! What an awesome thing to happen. He has 2 older sisters and one older brother and several cousins. He was adopted out when he was only 2 weeks old. I have never seen my father happier then I did yesterday. The search angels and (Denise) was great! Denise worked on finding Kelly's birth mom so hard--I can never thank you enough. I think she started on my son's (Jeff) because of his medical info in the entry and then went to Kelly's. I had more info on Kelly. Within hearing from Denise two days ago, last night 4-19-07 I spoke with Judy M and one of Kelly's new aunts! Kelly will be hearing from her today--she and her "other mom" and extended family are so excited! There is no way I would have EVER been able to do this without this site and Denise. Last night when I called her after speaking to Judy probably for two hours I asked Kelly to guess who I had been talking with and jokingly she said "My birth mom" and I said yes and she screamed soooo loud NO, and I said yes, again NO, I had to swear on my mom's grave it was true! She is overwhelmed and just so happy! We are all just "crazy" now and can't wait to meet in person--it's like you have waited so long and wondered so long and now it happened and it just takes a while for it all to sink in and even be able to ask many questions. Gary, thank you with all our hearts and to Denise too. She is now helping me find my son's birth mom (Jeff Mason-8-15-66) also born at the Willows in KCMO. We live in Raytown, Mo. (KCMO) and Kelly's birth mom worked here for a while and when she mentioned her employer......I know him and graduated from high school the same year as he did. Wonderful things DO happen, Kelly and I are beyond happy.

We have found our cousin who was given for adoption in 1977. She was given a new name by the adoptive parents and her birth certificate listed a different town as the place of birth. The town listed was the town where her adoptive parents lived when she was born. So this made the search a bit more challenging. The Children's Home Society confirmed the match. We made contact with her and our families have met twice now. Things moved really fast due to the help of the Search Angel!

Greetings! Jenn here. We just got back last night from our whirlwind trip to Washington to meet Marc's mom. It was WONDERFUL. There were a lot of tears (mostly hers) but more smiles than anything. I think that this has been exceptionally healing for everyone-she was able to tell her story to the one person it mattered most to and he was able to fill in the gaps of his life. I truly believe that this meeting happened at the very right time and place in both of their lives. Marc's little sister (12) is officially in love with her new big brother and we ended up buying 12 boxes of Girl Scout cookies from her!! =) Marc and his birth mom both said that they want to have a lasting relationship and she is trying to plan a trip to see us over the summer. We did learn some more about the birth father, and Marc does not want to pursue finding him. He is happy to stop with finding his birth mom. I can understand and respect that, as this process was wonderful but exceptionally draining for him emotionally. Without all of you, none of this would have been possible, so again, THANK YOU from the bottom of ALL of our hearts!!

Just got off the phone awhile ago with Kristen Sullivan who has been working with me on the search and we confirmed the woman who we suspected IS MY BIRTHMOTHER!! She admitted to it in her conversation with Kristen. My Birthfather is her current husband, who was not married to her at the time of my birth. Thankfully, they are both alive, have 2 half brothers, and 1 half sister. I haven't called her yet, however plan to in the next few days. Just need a little time to absorb al of this. Well, first I need to thank all of you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Allysen called me last night and we talked for an hour. It is very surreal to me, and I don't know if I'm in a dream. After an hour of talking, I was absolutely amazed at how much she and I view life and treat it the same. It is absolutely bizarre! She told me my birth father's name and I looked on the internet and there is only one coming back anywhere, and he lives in the same county that I was adopted in and has the same age. His name is pretty unusual, so, I'm pretty sure it's him. So now, I have to figure out what to say to him. He owns a business and it's only a few cities away from my parents (the ones that raised me and gave me the world). I was planning on driving down there next weekend, so maybe I'll go pay him a visit. I don't now. I just don't know. My birth mom told me he asked her to marry him but she didn't believe he was in love with her. Anyways, she instead met a man and married him, and they lived over 30 years together very in love, but he died a couple of years ago. Anyways, Allysen, she's so excited and said she's been waiting for my call for so many years. Her husband knew about me, but they never knew what to tell their four sons born after me so they don't know. I told her that I'd leave it to her to handle that, it's not my place. Anyways, things could not have gone any better and we're going to send each other pictures. She didn't have grandchildren yet, but now suddenly she has three. Anyways, I'm rambling and rambling and I just want you all to know that you're doing a beautiful thing, making dreams come true. I know that things could have worked out much worse, and apparently I have been extremely blessed. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I will never know how to say it enough and the only way I can think of showing it is by enjoying every moment of this that I can. MATCHED!!!! Dear Mr. Schaefer, I spent a long time studying and following your advise, followed the "10 steps" and the key was #3, when I sent in my info to the ISRR. Got a call from them on Thursday last week, maybe only about 3 weeks after sending all of my info to various places, courts, registries, you etc..... I was at the office and my secretary gave me a note that said it was from the Registry and it was "personal", but I just figured that they were calling to confirm my info. I was busy and didn't call them back on thurs, and I received a call the next day, Friday, from the Registry. I had no idea that they had a match, as my birthmother had been registered with them for the last 17 years, since 1990!!!! We spoke for the first time yesterday afternoon, and it was great. She doesn't know any details of my birthfather, but she does have his full name, and I did have his birth date, so the search continues... Thank you SOOOO much for your wonderful help and energy. Hi! I am happy to report that I have been found by my birth family, and the information provided by G's Search Angels allowed me to verify we are indeed reunited! I had my birth family information within 5 hours of submitting my information to G's, but I was not ready to confront this issue, so I waited until some things in my life were "straightened out". Interestingly enough, within days of my decision to finally contact my birth family, I was contacted by my half-sister, who had done an independent web search for me. When she came upon G's website, she noticed my birth date and birth location matched information given her by our mother. I am happy to report that I have spoken to, and continue to speak with, my birth mother and half-sister. I am aware of my other half-brother and half-sister related through my birth mother. I also have the name of my birth father, and we are actively seeking him out. One of G's Search Angels is assisting me with this search. Thank you so much to everyone who worked on this search! I can't tell you how wonderful it is to finally look at a picture of someone, and see that we are related. To know that my personality meshes well with my birth family. To know that these wonderful new family members had just as much desire to meet me, as I had to meet them. And it was all possible through the efforts of so many search angels! Hi Gary, First of all, I regret not having sent this email long ago! THANK YOU so much for your wonderful site!! I posted information on your site last January and within days a couple of your researchers sent me accurate information about my birth mother, unfortunately deceased 40+ years ago. But what came from that is my finding 4 siblings and a whole bunch of other relatives, all living on the west coast and all delighted to have found out about me. I came into their lives just past the age that my mother had died and I bear a strong resemblance to her in many ways. So it has been a very meaningful voyage for me and a happy ending to what previously was a tragic loss for a family. I thanked your volunteers that helped me... but meant to send a note to you as well!! Also, I notice that somehow I never got my information listed on your site to say FOUND!!! My adopted name is Kathryn S. Rose ( I now go by Kay Rose). My birth date was 5-30-1959 in Santa Barbara, CA. Also, your great people helped my brother find his birth family as well... thought unfortunately there had been factors concerning his birth that have caused his birth mother to NOT be interested in remaining in contact or having him get in touch with any other family members. That was really unfortunate, but my brother is more resilient than I and is finding some comfort in my new found brood, who have opened their arms to him as well. I never expected things to happen so quickly!!! I was on the phone with Jason, and we found out that he only lived a short 2 hours away from us all his life!! Jason was such a sweetheart. and such a handsome boy (And yes, that's the proud aunt talking there. ha ha). I not only found my nephew yesterday, but also found that I am a great-Aunt as well. I also have a great-Nephew! So our family was doubly blessed by you search angels!! After talking to Jason on the phone, he was as anxious to meet us as we were to meet him. So needless to say, we planned a meeting immediately. And by immediately, I mean we both got in our cars and met halfway between our homes. I of course was on the phone calling everyone I could think of, letting them know I was going to meet Jason. I called my father at work, and he told them he was leaving. Someone said they were surprised that they let him leave work so early. His reply was "I didn't ask, I just told them I was leaving." ha ha!! I met Jason, and it was amazing!! It feels like a piece of my heart and family, who I didn't even realize was missing, has been completed. Odd how I never felt incomplete before. But now that Jason is here, I feel as though the pieces have come together. It certainly gives you a new perspective on life. Plans for many more meetings in the very near future have already been made. Jason said he felt like a movie star, there were so many people, and so many cameras flashing, all for him. Family came from everywhere, family I didn't even know we had. LOL!!! We cannot express our love and gratitude for you enough!! If I heard it 1 time I heard this statement 50 times during the course of the day..."You have to write your search angel and tell her thank you from his entire family." Everyone was of course ecstatic. A missing member had now returned home. Although we don't ever want to take him away from his family, we are now happy that he can be a part of ours as well. There aren't enough words to express our gratitude and our love. I wish there was some way I could show you. As I said, we have already made plans for future visits. Hello, I thought you'd like to know my success story. Several months after my posting on your site in 2002 I received an email response. It was from my adopted sister whom I hadn't spoken with in several decades. She provided me my birth name Frances R and filled me in on details I provided this site that were untrue but what I and siblings of my adopted family were told. I've corresponded with my BM several times and have family all around me in Seattle and Shoreline. On 1/6/06 I came face-to-face with my birth mother at a cousins funeral at my own church just two blocks from my house. When she came in to church she sat right beside my husband and myself. Hello to all of the wonderful people (Angels) who helped me find my mother's birth mother! Though she has suffered three strokes and recently lost her husband and claims to know nothing about my mother ever existing (Maybe the strokes, maybe she stuffed it for too long, who knows), I have connected to the person who would be my aunt by marriage and my aunt both of which have been very nice and I have learned so much about my history. To see the look on my mother's face when I told her the news was priceless! If you remember my mother has terminal cancer and is not expected to live long, to have been able to give her the thing she wanted most in her life was amazing! Again, I thank all of you for that and the wonderful work you do! I spoke with my aunt for about one hour last night and today I have sent two different packages of pictures for them to see. Dear Search Angels Since my feet have only just touched the ground, I haven't had time to write you and thank you for all the hard work that has made our journey to this point so successful. You have all made a lifetime wish a reality for me in locating my birth mother and it is no small miracle after 67 years. I have always wanted to know where I came from and the circumstances surrounding my birth. Also I hope to be able to meet my birth mother and tell her that she did the right thing and that everything turned out good for me. I hope that I will have that opportunity soon, but it hasn't been arranged yet as Geraldine L. (Smith) Evans has only just got out of hospital and she is in a nursing home in Hollywood, Florida. Apparently, under the caring eye of her daughter Barbara. To bring you all up to date: I have spoken to Norman E. Smith of Miami, FL and he put me on to Geraldine's daughter Barbara who in turn put me to her brother Steven. It appears that Geraldine had four other children born of the marriage between her and Arthur (Epstein) Evans. Their firstborn son in 1942 they named "Michael" (- strange coincidence?) There are two other sons, Steven and Bruce and l daughter Barbara. Barbara lives in Hollywood, FL and Steven is in Chicago, Michael in California and not sure where Bruce lives. Norman, Steven and Barbara have been very receptive and co-operative, in fact they seem quite excited but of course none of them had any knowledge of my existence and they don't know how Geraldine will react. I have made a lunch date with Steven for tomorrow downtown Chicago and we will exchange photos etc. and finalize the details for a DNA test on myself, & Geraldine. At this point I feel that Steven & Barbara are on the same page on this one and I think before they discuss this with their mother (Geraldine) they want proof positive. Whilst I am still sitting on pins and needles and cannot yet make plans to fly out to Miami I have to be patient a little while longer. I certainly understand their concerns and how they feel, as Geraldine has been ill and will be 85 years old on April 5th. Lets hope she will receive me as a birthday gift. Again, I can't begin to tell you how grateful I am for your work, devotion and abilities to make all this happen for me. I will write you and update you again when I have more information after my lunch with my (brother ?) Steven. Thank you ever so much and a special thanks to my nephew Dale who convinced me to try again and not give up in my desire to locate my birth mother. Hello everyone! I just wanted to let you all know that from your help, I was able to talk to my fathers half brother and sister,
who are so excited to hear about him and our family. They are ready to share information and meet as soon as everyone is ready.
We plan on speaking more over the next few days and finding our more information from older family members and confirming information. With this family being so large, it will take a little while, and Ruby Clara Bonds-Markham, is not alive anymore so they ave to get together and talk about what they know. The main thing here is that I could not have gotten anywhere without "TRUE ANGELS" such as yourselves. You gave me resources, support, and the want to continue searching. I cannot thank you all enough. And from what I have learned in the situation, please, if I can be of any help to anyone, I would gladly do it a thousand times over.

My name is Marla and I have been searching for my biological mother for over a year now. I was born in Omaha, Nebraska on May 7, 1971. I am ABSOLUTELY DELIGHTED TO ANNOUNCE THAT LAST NIGHT I SPOKE TO HER ON THE PHONE FOR THE FIRST TIME FOR 2 1/2 HOURS!!!!! The search was not easy and I had an incredible investigator's help along the way. Despite the fact that I went through the necessary steps to try and obtain any identifying or non-identifying information, Nebraska would not grant me ANY INFORMATION because there was no consent form filed by my biological mother. On the phone, last night, she said she assumed that it would be easy for me to find her because the agency the adoption was through had all of her information. THAT INFORMATION WAS SEALED AND I COULD NOT GET ACCESS TO ANY OF IT! That agency told me four times that there was no record of my adoption!!!
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE contact the Dept of Vital Statistics in Nebraska and request a "Cons! ent By Biological Parents for Release of Information" and fill it out!!!! By doing this it might open some doors to the possibility of your adopted child finding you! It may not be too late!!!
Most importantly, NEVER GIVE UP HOPE!

Tricia is an amazing person and I honestly fill that god put her here on this earth for this purpose.
I had my reunion last weekend. My mother and sister are still in the lincolnton, NC area. The visit went great
until I had to come back to where i live due to work and all. They are planning to visit me hopefully sometime
in November. I even got to meet 2 out of 3 uncles as well as my aunt and grandmother. Also, my sisters 2 kids.
The void in my heart has been filled and I am very great full for the service you and everyone else has provided me.
My search started in early July and 3 months later, wham, I honestly feel it was meant to be. Thank you again.

I told her if there was ever anything I could look up in the pitt county area to let me know what to do and where

Hello and thanks to all, I located my mother yesterday 9-26-05 in Denver Co.
She had been there since 1957. I found a Maine obituary for a person I thought might be her father Robert Parsons,
and it listed a grandchild named Dana Pappas living in Denver. I found his phone number and called.
A woman answered and I asked for Dana. She said Dana was her son but that he didn't actually live at this number or address.
I then said by chance: "is this Doris?" And she said yes! I believe we fit as much into a 2 hour conversation as two people could,
after 53 years. I am of Irish descent as I suspected, my mother is 74 and as sharp as a law school professor. (a group with whom I am intimately familiar) She related my Irish lineage back to 1541 off the top of her head! And after 53 years (we last spoke when I was 18 months) when she said certain words, as odd as it may seem, I swear I remembered her voice. It was breathtakingly impressive in the truest sense of the word. I feel very good today. I had actively been searching for 15 years, and often during that period I was often on the verge of giving up. I sincerely hope all who search can find what I have found, don't ever give up. Dear Gary: How exciting to finally find the birth family of my adopted daughter.
She is also excited and has contacted Tracy and her biological brother as well.
I encouraged her several years ago but she had no interest so I took matters in my own hands

Hello there!!! Just wanted to update you....since I followed your advice and used your lists. I had the most amazing weekend ever (although, the best or worst is yet to come)...and I have you to thank!!! ;-) I went up to Cairo, NY this past Labor Day weekend with my fiancee who has been helping me search. At first, we went into the library..tried the city directories at your advice. but nothing. Then we headed over to the post office...b/c I have an old paper showing Lillian Fratto had a PO Box there back in 1969. As we were telling our story to the young clerk.....a miracle happened!!!! The retired postman happened to come in to get his mail, and overheard us talking!! He announced- I knew Lillian Fratto....and Frank Vagnone!!!! Well--- I almost fainted! This is the first person that has been able to confirm her identity there. To make a VERY long story shorter, not only did I find out about my birth mother that day- I also found out about my birth father....spoke with several people in town he directed us to...even got pictures of BOTH of my birth parents....barbequed with their old friends from an Elks Lodge, etc. Unfortunately, they are both deceased...and now I have to try to find out where they are buried back down here in the city (noone knew)...but I am working on it with the help of the town people who knew them. I also found out that I have either a half- or maybe whole sister down here in the Bronx, named Frances Abbate that used to live at 2551 Laconia Avenue in the Bronx but has since moved.....I will be trying to find her now and hopefully see what unfolds of that....scared to death..but she could give me the medical history I seek...and family details if she even cares to speak with me...or knows of my existance when and if I find her now. Apparently, I could never find a Lillian Fratto, because she used Lillian Vagnone for many years even before they married. I found out she was born 12/13/1933 and died 8/6/1988. And my birth Father Frank Vagnone was born in 1913...(considerably older than she was)...and died in 1996 in Athens, NY. I even have their SS#'s now. I can't believe it!!! I look exactly like them..and it's the first time I've ever seen anyone that I look like....very emotional weekend to say the least! Anyway...like I said- on to find and confront my birth sister Frances Abbate of the Bronx...(I found 1 in oyster Bay- but her age would be too old).....we'll see what happens. I just wanted to thank you soooo much for all your help. It was your ideas, advice, lists, and telling me to be persistant that led me to the post office this weekend- and I am

and I got some replies. when My birth mom read the letter that was sent to her son
she admitted that I was hers. much of the info matched.

Thank you, thank you for your concern. We found our Twin Sisters last Tuesday after waiting for
1-1/2 years for non id. My cousin sent the info to her searcher in SC Tuesday morning
and she found them in nine (9) hours. There are no words to explain how happy all of us are.
My sisters are 59 years old and thought they would never know anything about their biological families.
They are elated to learn their mother is alive. We will all be together next week in Ohio.
This is where their mother is, in a nursing home close to her granddaughter.

has located all the information regarding my birth parents...they are both deceased now,
but in the process, I found 10 living half-brothers and sisters. Can you believe that!!
I've lived all my 51 years as an only child and in a week's time, Patti found me a bunch of siblings....amazing.
My adoptive mother is actually my aunt and I wouldn't trade her for the world, but it is so good to have this mystery solved.

in November of 2004 in search of my little brother born 5-7-1966, in Kansas City,
but i was one year off, I put in1965. He was adopted out at age 6 weeks old.
I am happy to report that contact has been made and we have found each other. He is living in Nebraska!

Dear Schaefers, I wanted to add myself to the list of people that were found...We were told in the early 1970's
that records were sealed and cannot be opened for any reason, so I never thought this reunion would happen...
I had begun to look in May of 2004, but became very disappointed at the number of search sites asking for money...
my daughter found me after looking only for a few minutes in the geneology records at the NY City public Library...
at the same time a search angel also e-mailed her with my information, saying "I think I found your birth mother" ...

Hi, Gary! A note to report a FIND Lawrence Wayne Edwards, Jr., born 12/18/60 in SF, CA was renamed,
but located on Sunday 1/23. We made contact 1/25 and 1/28 he was in my Michigan home from his in California
for a jam-packed weekend that included extended family and his birth father etc -- virtually no sleep.
This is the beginning of a wonderful thing -- all stories might not be as happy as this one, but the truth is always
the path to healing. I don't know how to put this into your web --- but I'll go there and try. If I mess up
and it is not in there tomorrow, can you help me? I'd like to encourage the others by showing that it DOES happen.
I bridged the gap between names by paying a woman named Jan at JNDiego@aol.com, $75 for his adoptive name,
mother's maiden name, and father's initials. This with what I already knew re birth date, location etc -- took us on home

Gary, I have found my whole family, two brothers and 3 sisters and tons of cousins and aunt,
uncles the whole nine yards. Unfortunately my B-mom passed away just over a year ago.
Please leave me on there a while longer we think there may be 2 more sibs but nothing

better than any holiday, incredible, overwhelming and surreal all at once if that makes any sense.

She is truly an angel and is very dedicated to what she does. I have found my sister in law's
birthmother and although it is not a happy reunion we did get medical information that was badly needed
from the birthmom's side of the family. The birthmom also provided us the name of the birth father
and is willing to find out medical information for his family as well. My sister in law,
Cathy, has not spoken to the birthmom but I have and it did answer many questions.

On mother's day, my searcher called and we set up a time for me to call my Bmom.
And which we decided on this afternoon at 2:30 (central time). I can't hardly wait until
then. I also found out that my Bmom's mother also wants to meet me as well.
She will be 90 this June. My Bmom has a lot of family support where she
is. The information that I have gotten so far is that she lives in Souix
Falls, South Dakota. Also her email address, and mailing address. I will

Dear Gary, Last night I finally did something I had put on the backburner for the last seven years,
search for my birth-mother. It was completely a shot in the dark, but I figured I'd start with the internet.
After only 10 minutes or so of searching, I found a description from your website that struck really close to home.
So I searched for more information about the woman whose name I had found.
A little more than a half hour or so passed and after a few phone calls and an email
sent to the address the woman left in her post on your site, I talked to my birth-mother for the very first time...

Thank you, I found my ninety two year old mother Elsie Plecas and am going
to see her in eleven days. I have three siblings that I will also be

process of finding my mom I found a lot of very wonderful cousins and we

September so I feel very whole now. I still have my wonderful adopted

Hi! I'm very pleased to tell you that Thanks to Patti, my birthmother has been found.
She emailed me and offered her help. Within 24 hours of our 1st contact, she found her.
We haven't made contact yet (I'm leaving that up to her), but I now know a little about my origins.
It's such a wonderful feeling. I'm still in a state of shock because I had pretty much given up
on ever locating any member of my birth family. I "happened" upon your site and for some reason,
posted my info. I hadn't posted on a registry in nearly a year. I've been through all of the emotions,
now, I think. I've cried, laughed, shaken, been nauseated and terrified.
I suppose that if my birthmother contacts me, it will start all over again--but I'll cross that bridge
when I get there. A void in my heart has truly been villed and I can't say "thank you" enough.

Hi Gary and Danna,
Just wanted to let you know that with the help of Search Angel Patti Carter,
we found Bryan Summers' (BD 6-13-68) birth mother on July 15, 2003. Had I
not posted on your site, Patti would not have noticed Bryan's information
and emailed me. Our email and phone reunion with the birth mother has been
positive thus far and it's been a good experience for Bryan. We've
exchanged pictures and family history, plus many emails in just a few short
days. Thank you for bringing Patti to us. We really appreciate your site!
As to how Patti did it, I'm not honestly sure but it all started with the
California birth index and the information we were able to get from the
adoption agency, Children's Home Society. Using those two documents to get
ages of the mother and the mother's family, Patti checked cenus records,
etc. to find a family that matched. Then she was able to find the funeral
home that buried the materal grandmother, which had all of the names and
addresses of the surviving children. That led us right to the birth mother.
As always, searchers should be tactful about contacting possible birth
parents. Bryan's BM had never told anyone in her family except one sister
who helped arrange the adoption. When I called her, she first denied the
connection to his birth date (I asked if that date had any meaning for her),
so then I told her what I wanted and why I was looking. I asked if it could
be a cousin or someone she might know that I was looking for. She took my
number and told me she would look into it. Then called me back in half an
hour to tell me it was her, but as she had never told her current husband,
she had to tell him the truth before talking to me. At first reserved, then
she became more reassured to know Bryan had turned out well and had been
happily adopted and had a good life. Now we are all communicating and I
hope that when her comfort level increases, we can discuss the birth father
and find him as well. Based on our experience, I think it's invaluable to
get as much non-identifying information as you can from the adoption agency
if that is known. We couldn't have found her without the information about
the family contained in the report as to ages, nationality, etc. It's a puzzle,
but it will come together. We were lucky and Patti deserves all the credit.

I am pleased to inform you that you can put FOUND on Thomas Allen Snoke on
page 76 of your register, born 4-8-1969. He found the add and called me last
week. We got together this past week end. It was a wonderful experience and

My search had started when I was 18 years old. I am now 50. Every call to Wisconsin put me in touch with very unhelpful and negative personnel with in whatever agency I was in touch with. I heard it would cost thousands of dollars or my search would be next impossible. My wonderful wife, Sharon decide in 2002 that she would give it a try, but this time we were armed with a Wisconsin Welfare case number that had been found by one of my adopted parents as part of my birth certificate. She then went by phone into The Welfare system and was transferred to one person, then the next, callbacks and more people. Finally one day she was talking to a lady who had been working there for many years and recognized the case # as a Salvation Army/Booth Ministries case. She was referred to Astrid Striensland at the Booth Ministries records facility. Astrid is a sweet heavily accented lady who is in charge of reuniting adoptees and birth parents. It also sounded like she loved her job very much. Astrid explained the process and then mailed the appropriate paperwork to us. I completed the questionnaire, then got my Doctors request for release of medical records and my notarized request for contact with my birth parents.Next was a call from Astrid with some final questions for her file. She then told me the records were opened and a letter had been sent to a lady believed to be my mother. A few days later the phone rings again and Astrid is so excited she cam hardly talk. The lady had called right back and it was definitely my real mother. All very exciting. Astrid explained the next part of the process was my letter and photos to be forwarded to my mom and in return, her letter and photos, before we would actually speak to each other. Finally the phone call both mother and son had been waiting for. The years started to melt away after the first few calls. The next important step was our first meeting. Alta traveled from her home in Yakima, Washington to my home in Boise, Idaho to meet both myself, but Sharon my wife. It was wonderful to finally get a hug and kiss after all those years. My adopted parents Cecil and Dessie were divorced in the early 70’s after in joined the USAF. They both still live in the Boise area and have very supportive of this reunion. Dessie and her daughter Heather the sister I was raised with joined Alta and I for breakfast before Alta returned home to Yakima. Sharon and I then went to Yakima for Thanksgiving holiday to meet her husband Kenny of 46 years and also one of my cousins who also lives in Yakima. It was great. Alta and my wife have become very close and I love having more than one caring mother. I have three. Alta my birth mother, Dessie my adopted mother and Ann my adopted dads wife of 28 years. I received a letter from my birthmother this week. She was excited to hear
from me and stated that she would eventually like to meet. She only asked for
more time to talk with her husband and daughters (I have two sisters), which
of course, she is entitled to. I have since received an e-mail that she is

Hi, I recently found my birth son. After looking for years, it was so easy once
I found the right connection. I was in the Florence Crittenton home
in Wheeling like so many others. This will help you if you are the birth parent
or the birth child looking for your parents. Please let me know if I was of any
help to you. 1. You can go the the county in which your baby was born.
Ask for the birth certificate by the birth name and birth date.
Which is what you name the baby, first and last name.
2. Ask the clerk for all the identifying information also on file. Time of
birth, Doctor, birth weight, any other info you can get.
2. Contact harold.newman@wvculture.org and ask him to research this for
you. Give him the above info along with the birth date and the name on the
original. That is if you are the birthparent. If you are the child, do the
reverse. Take the info off of your new birthcerticate and give harold the
same info. He will only charge you a few dollars after the fact. He
charged me $5.00, it pays for copies and the such.
I got my answer in about 2 weeks. He had my son's new name, his adoptive
parent's name and then later sent me the parents address. I have reunited
with my son and his adoptive mom (his dad passed away), he has met his other
brothers and sister. Everything is great! Example: we talked on the phone
last night, long distance (he called me) for 3 hours. His adoptive mom has
been just super. Mine turned out great, I hope the best for you.
If you need any help, please call me. I live in Marshall County, West
Viriginia. I am close to Wheeling, WV, Ohio County, and Wetzel and Tyler
county. Also close to counties in Ohio and Pa. Jefferson County, Ohio is
my birth county and I am very close to there. I am willing to get the birth

Last year I found out for sure that Mollie Lucille Standley was my biological mother
and my Father's name was James Roland McBride. He was always called Bill.
I think it was a shame that she was allowed to use a false name at the Edna Gladney Center.
They have always been so hateful to me and I do not like their foundation!
Since my mother's name was false there is no reason why they could not give me the name that was made up.
I simply would like to know the name she had the nerve to use.
The whole town (or rather 1/2 the little town of Apple Springs, Texas knew all about it).
Groveton and other surrounding small towns were consolidated and the school was called Centerville Schools.
I never gave up and spent many hours searching for the truth and things finally paid off
by my talking to the "right" people. I wish there were national television shows about the cruelty of adoption
and how not knowing the truth--NO MATTER WHAT IT IS--can destroy a person!
I'm sure I'll never be allowed to know what name she used and even though it
was a made up name, I would still like to know. Thanks for taking an interest.

It is on page 81 she was born 02/02/69 in Louisiana, birth name Catherine Diane Coates.
Good news, she found her birthmother and birth father this week,

Dear Gary and Danna Schaefer, I posted my information on 3-4-02 to your site
after a brief internet search on Washington Adoptees. I am excited to tell you that only a little over 1 month later,
on 4-17-02, an angel happened to be reading your site. As he read the list of adoptees,

Let me just say too what I firmly believe. My reunion story is a good example of how things truly do happen
when it is Gods time! I never understood why I had to lose so many precious years until I was reunited,
but now, after learning more about my adoption and the circumstances of my birth family,
I know this definitely WAS the best time for both mother and daughter to be reunited!
My advise to all others like myself, is to just be patient with your search, and
NEVER, NEVER give up hope! Dreams do come true!

Hi there, wish that I could say that I found my BM through this registry but Through CSS of Washtenaw county,
I learned that my bmother died from breast cancer in 1990 and my birthfather is around Utah...I also have a half brother who
I'm going to meet in April of this year!! He has filled me in on all info about our mom and I have pictures too..

A couple of months ago I asked you to help search for my son's birth family.
His name is Todd Kellam. I found her in Ocala. He and I spoke with her
Sunday night. It was a wonderful conversation for all of us. The birth
mother and birth father eventually married in 1986, but have since divorced.
They have a 17 yr old son. My son has a full blood brother. He will now
have a lot of extended family members. The birth mother told us that she
had prayed that he would try to find them. She contends they have so much
love in their hearts for him. Her own mother had put away family heirlooms
for him in the event of her death. The family sounds like they will accept
my son into their lives. This is a joyful reunion that I thought you would
like to hear about. Thank you for the work you do.

Hi I wanted to tell you this story because he posted on your site..........it is under California Jan 4 1956
this is dob of Leland George O'Neill.......he gave a long detailed story...............to make a long story short...........
I know his mother died an alcoholic when just 33 years old in California........he had never seen her picture...........I was able to find an ex in-law that sent Lee some pictures. of he and his mother..........children were taken away from her...........she had 4 children by 4 different husbands..........one was raised by father and step mother..........the brother Robert Pfaff evidently wanted no contact..........emails sent and he ignored.........then email cut off.............but here is the ironic part...........Lee had found his sister Allison about a year ago living in a small town in California moved here with her husband.............I finally found the sister Kathy he so desperately wanted to find the first week of October this year.........the unbelievable part is she was living just .6 of a mile from Allison........and they had no idea they were sisters. They were unable to meet in person but did meet by computer video cam.........they sent me picture of the two sisters reunited........Kathy had remembered caring for her baby sister (she was 6) in fact when her mother left her one day to run off with boyfriend Kathy said she was trying to take care of her baby sister all day and night then finally told someone her momma left. Well the story has ended and I wanted you to know how much this site means to people like Lee...........He was SOOOOOOOO HAPPY to of found his sister Kathy. I received word day after Thanksgiving he died of sudden heart attack.....(girlfriend says he never took his high blood pressure medicine) So those of us like you who want to help others.............it really does make a difference...........two sisters are together and Lee died Happy knowing he could talk to his sisters every day since the day I found Kathy.

Hello Gary, This year has been a wondrous and joyful year. To make a long story short,
I traveled from Hawaii to California in April in search of new leads. My first stop was the County
Registrar's office. I pulled into a parking spot and noticed a lady was sitting in her truck next to me.
I asked her ( against my better judgment) a few questions and turns out she is my aunt's best friend.
I met two aunts, an uncle and several cousins and spoke to my mother on the phone for over three hours.
In July I was able to meet my grandmother and my sister (39yrs old and did not know I existed).
My mother has decided that she does not want to communicate with me but I hope in time that will change.
