All Other Information: All I remember about the hospital, with that it was on a small hill, surrounded by trees...if that helps? It's confusing about where, because Catholic Charities north of DC helped, but I just went to the hospital they told me. unfamiliar with DC, as I am from Illinois. I wrote Catholic Charities, but they are demanding $500 before they will 'open' the records. so they Do have Molly on their records, but in all of this time. I Still do Not have $500 to give them to search for her! It makes me really sad to be so poor - and those Catholics wanted money from me to pay their bills - while I was Giving them my daughter!.

All Other Information: I don't know if I was named Stephanie by my birth mother or by my foster mother. In a note to my adoptive parents, my foster mother referred to me as 'Stephanie'. She also gave my adoptive parents my favorite blanket and a ceramic baby bottle bank that she signed 'With love, Miss E.' I do have a copy of the official Adoption Decree along with letters and updates from my adoptive parent's attorney. In my baby book there is te first picture taken of me by Family Services on 7-22-1970. This is also the date I 'arrived' to my adoptive parents and it is noted below the photo that "Baby resembles the mother". In my baby book is also the original printing plate announcing my 'arrival'. According to the non-ID I have, my birth mother was about 5'2", blonde hair with hazel or blue eyes. She was described as being 'plump' and having an under active thyrid. My birth father was about 5'8", medium complexion, brown hair and eyes. He is described as being Black and Native American Indian. Both were in their early to mid 20's. My birth father parents were both educated and there was known musical talent on his mothers side possibly an Aunt. I will update this form if I find any other information that would help (Update) My birth mother was 20 yrs old, I was her first child. High school graduate and 1 yr in Business college Her parents were divorced. Her mother was 43 yrs old, 5'4", blonde, blue eyes with a B.A, in music. Her father was 46 yrs old, 5'8", blonde blue eyes with a B.S. in Engineering. She also had/has a brother 19 yrs old, 6'2", blonde blue eyes and 2 yrs of college. My birth father was 24 yrs old and was 5'10". He graduated high school and worked in sales. He was into music, painting and drawing. His parents were also divorced. His mother was 48 yrs old, 5'6" brown eyes and graduated high school. She was a medical secretary. The is no information on his father. My BF also had/has a sister - older 27 yrs old, 5'11", medium complexion, high school graduate and was artistic. The doctor that performed my physical exam was A. E. Schweitzer and the exam was done 6-3-1970. He also performed a follow up exam on 7-10-1970. I was 6lbs. 2oz, 20.5 inches, born at 40 weeks, 8:21pm and my blood type is A+. I also have a copy of the placement agreement signed 7-22-1970 by my adoptive parents and also by the agency representative Hanna Levitt. The attorney that handled the adoption for my AP's was Dale L. Burton and his office was located at7424 Wisconsin Ave Washington, DC 20014. However, I already checked into that and his office is no longer in business and I believe he is deceased. I have a letter from him to my AP's dated 7-22-1970 requesting they have their signatures notarized. The next letter is dated 10-2-1970 which also contained a copy of the adoption decree which was signed on 9-25-1970 and it became final on 3-25-1971. The file number on the Interlocutory Decree of Adoption is A 518 70. This was signed by Judge Joyce Hens Green. The adoption was completed in Washington, DC in the District of Columbia Court of General Sessions Domestic Relations Branch. (Update) My birth mother. I believe her name is Cynthia Dale Byers born 1-17-1950. She may have been married to a Larry G. Eisma and living in California. I believe she may also have a daughter born 12-?-1982 named Kristin M. Eisma. My birth mother also has a brother named Carl A. Byers born 2-15-1951 and may be living in Juneau or Anchorage Alaska. I will update this form if I find any other information that would help.

All Other Information: I am a birth sibling (daughter of the birth mother). Our birth mother was 17 at the time of the adoption, had been at an "unwed mother's" home - maybe Florence Crittendon, but unsure. She gave birth, tried to keep the baby for a few months but had no income or support. She worked as a nanny/housekeeper some and lived there. (unknown if D.C., Laurel or Silver Spring, MD, or other) ...after a while she couldn't make it, so gave her baby up for adoption. I wish I had more information. The birth father was African American and was in his 20's? at the time. He had another relationship going on (a woman with twin babies - probably? he was the father) at the same time as with Mom, so he was in and out of the picture and never provided any support. (Update) I don't know the birth father's age at the time of the birth. I seem to remember hearing he was in his mid-twenties, but unsure. I assume his eyes were brown and hair black since he was African American. His height is also unknown to me. The birth mother's eyes are blue, hair light brown, height 5'3".

It took me awhile to sign the adoption papers. I remember going to visit him there. My guess is he was about a month old when I signed away my parental rights.
