All Other Information: Birth date: 2-2-1956 Original BC #: 142-56-33731 Amended BC #; 033731-56 I was born in All Saints per medical records. I appealed the courts in the 80's and got my original BC, petition to adopt, relinguishment papers with my moms signature, hospital records with BM info removed except for her name,home study papers. My BM name is Ruth Ann Cook, she named me in the hospital Ruth Cook as well. On my original BC it says: My mom was 22 . Doctor at birth was JD Murphy whom I wrote in the 80's and he said he had no record of my mom. Original BC was filed 2-13-1956 I was told by a searcher that it was The Homestead house by all the info I know. The residence of my birth mother was 3207 James Street. I have researched and was told that address doesnt exist.I have come to believe its on the grounds of the Baptist College there. I believe Dr Durham from Homestead lived there as well. Somewhere on that property. It says my mother was a typist at Remington Rand and that she was born in Texas. I spoke with a lady that had worked there for 35 years she said she didnt remember her. I spoke to an Ann Douglas and a Bob Barkley there. Even though my BM said she was married on the birth certificate it says Miss Ruth Cook on the medical records. It says that my mother had 1 live child previous to me and 1 stillborn. It says I wasnt legitimate. I have been told by my adoptive mom I have a sister that was 4 years older than me . The lawyer that I wrote to( handled my adoption privately) was a Herman Fitts. Became a judge in Palo Pinto Texas.. He says in the letter to me that findng my mom is almost non existant. He is dead now. My adopted parents were from Mineral Wells Texas.Adoption handled in Palo Pinto County. Another twist: A friend of my adoptive mom told me in the 80's that my birth mom was from Colorado and that my parents had made a trip to Colorado months before I was born. Dont know if any of that is true. I dont know much more to share. Its just I have done everything I supposed to and still no mom or siblings.

She said she would tell us who our sister was. We asked if she could call us back that we needed to speak with family members about it. She never called back. We had originally thought that our mother and Birth Sister were in the Edna Gladney Home and we were later told it was not true. We could get no info from there. We spoke to Pat Molina who told us that it was from '' Homestead '' . We were told that if we sent in Death Certificate we could get a birth date, that's what Pat Molina said. She gave us a Birth Date of 10-16-1961 but we spoke again and she said she never gave us this date and did not know why we were searching this date. Birth Mothers Date Of Birth is 10-15-1941 her Maiden Name was West her married name McClure.

All Other Information: My adopted mother said that they got me on 6-1-1965. I was given to another family and they returned me. I am not for sure where I was in the meantime but I did speak with a Foster Mom and she sent me pictures and the child sounded like me. This child was given to the foster family on 3-7-1965 which would be five days after birth as the home usually did. Then this child was taken by a family that wanted a boy and then brought back because it was not a boy and the foster family had this child until the 6-9-1965. My adopted Mom said this could not be me because I was given to another family that had to bring me back because of an Illness and that they received me from the attorney (she doesnt remember who or where) at his office on the 6-1-1965. Could there have been another child with such a similiar story from Homestead. The pics don't appear to match either. My adopted Mom said they picked up a Social Worker or somebody in Seminole and took her back to Stanton (Texas) with her to spend the night. She was to check them out and had checked out someone in Seminole (Texas) as well. Late that evening I had my baby but was never allowed to see or hold him. Dr. Parchman was the one that told me that I had a healthy boy. All Other Information: We picked our son up from Homestead on 2-19-1971. I dont' remember the date of the formal adoption. Birth Mother: was of English-Irish-German-French descent. She was 23 yrs old, 5'6", weighed 115 lbs. She had green eyes, brown hair and fair skin. She was a high school graduate and had two years of college. She planned on continuing college to pursue a teaching career. She was a member of the Babtist Church. Natural father: He was of German-French descent and 22 yrs old. He was 5'10" tall and had blue eyes and blonde hair. He weighed 165 lbs and had fair skin. He had three years of college as a drama major and planned to continue. He attended the Presbyterian Church. Maternal grandmother: She was from English descent. She was 5'3" and weighed 123 lbs. She had hazel eyes with brown hair and had mmedium to fait skin. She was a secretary and had attended business school. Her faith was Babtist. Maternal Grandfather: He was 41 yrs old and of German-Irish descent. He was 6'1", 200 lbs and had green eyes. His hair was black and he had medium-fair skin. He was a member of the Babtist church. He was a gradute of colledge and dental sschool. He was a self employeed dentist. Pat was 6lbs 1oz and 20" long at birth. His file was assigned a number which was #18238. We picked him up from Homestead when he was 11 days old. At the present time, Pat is 5'6" tall and weighs around 140 lbs. He has brown hair and hazel eyes. While working with Homestead, if I remember correctly, we worked with a woman named Mary Jo Maruda. She was very nice. We adopted a baby girl from Homestead in ?-?-1968. Our daughter found her birth mother in the early 90's and it was a great reunion. We worked with Ms. Maruda on her case as well.
